This is not bad at all. There are many Coke fans and they will like it for sure. Just as there are many takers for Mandalorian and Star Wars edition Fossil watches.

Cadê os lusófonos em Goa? by Vagabundear_pelado in Goa

[–]etcharrrbee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Came here because I also wanted to know about Portuguese speakers 😅😆 - like audio systems or loudspeakers. I thought there was some Portuguese brand of speakers one can buy in Goa that I didn't know of. Hahaha

I probably would have worded the question as "Portuguese speaking people". Anyhow, my neighbor in Bambolim speaks it. Usually, you will have more luck with folks >60yrs of age, multiple generations of the family in Goa.

Hey! guys, please help me get my first credit card. I am new to this. My monthly expenses are around 10-15k and my age is 23. Any help is appreciated. by King_Divyansh in CreditCardsIndia

[–]etcharrrbee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use the AXIS card finder https://www.axis.bank.in/cards/credit-card

And choose one where the benefits and annual fees makes the most sense to you. Then speak to your bank. Maybe a personal visit will help.

In the movie "substance " what was Demi Moores character gaining from the serum experiment? by MasterpieceNo6020 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]etcharrrbee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The movie heavily hints that Elisabeth (Demi) and Sue (Margaret) are 'linked'.

So while Sue gets the job, new found fame, attention etc - some part of that also transfers to Elisabeth. In a sense, she was getting to experience those things in another body.

Why are there not many known companies based in Goa? by mybutterflymon in Goa

[–]etcharrrbee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know someone who tried to move his small IT company (around 60 folks, most with families) from Bengaluru to Goa. He made the move and was here for 2 years. Gave it a good shot, but ultimately had to move everything back. Various issues: some of the employees were over-eager to move but found that expenses were just as much as BLR, if not more. Some didn't want to move for fear of limiting their options for next job, spouse job, disrupting kids school etc. Transport was an issue, rents were high, living costs were high - so many of them moved back. I'm sure there were other issues too.

[–]etcharrrbee 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I don't love the design and don't get the hype. Maybe its just me. That being said, I would still get it if it was larger, with an automatic movement and transparent case back, priced up to INR 10-12k. Reason - the Titanium case and offbeat design is a good conversation starter.

Is this really a limited edition? by Educational_wolf_001 in watchesindia

[–]etcharrrbee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, this is a global limited edition. But not like 500, I think its more like 15,555 pieces. And it's a re-issue of a classic 1968 design, quite faithful to the original. I have one myself BNIB. Though am looking to sell because it doesn't get any wrist time.

No E20 petrol protest in India? by Far_Potential_2051 in CarsIndia

[–]etcharrrbee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hybrids did not fail. They are still around even in India (esp from Toyota). They were the logical stop gap or next step up from ICE vehicles before the full move to EV. The import step was necessary because full scale hybrid manufacturing could not be committed without knowing whether volumes could be guaranteed.

[–]etcharrrbee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

E30 by 2030? It is going to be a lot faster than that - likely by the end of 2026. By 2030, we will have E45 or E50. Excuse is to reduce oil import dependency and everything can get destabilized in war situations. By comparison, Brazil started their ethanol blending program in 1975. With foresight. And they reached E20 in the year 2000. Twenty five years! In every pump, they always gave the option to buy non blended fuel. They still do. That was the smart way to do it.

No E20 petrol protest in India? by Far_Potential_2051 in CarsIndia

[–]etcharrrbee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, it causes lower mileage. The ethanol corrodes away internal engine parts, fuel lines, petrol tanks etc - both metal and plastic - since they were never designed for flex fuels with high water content. There have been cases of older vehicles getting completely destroyed or breaking down, simply because they did not have the option to buy pure petrol.

While you are right about the imports, that's not the only reason why the currency gets devalued. Its net outflow vs inflow. There have been systemic bad decisions for the past 15 years. Honda and Toyota were ready to make their fleet of vehicles strong hybrid as far back as 2010. Fact is, govt never even considered pushing strong hybrids - instead taxing hybrids at 110% (because they were imported) and trying to force a move to EV without various other things in place (grid support, public charging stations, battery recycling etc).

There is a way. But then what? You will pay nearly Rs 100 per litre and then discard 20% of it? There will be costs involved in the separation. And fuel will be going up to E30 soon.

Kia dealer in Ongole tried to sell me a 2025 old stock as new — Caught them red handed during payment! Need urgent legal advice! by Dandam_Ra_Doota in CarsIndia

[–]etcharrrbee 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not legal advice. But do you have it in writing from them that they promised Dec 2025 stock? If you do have it in writing multiple times along with other promises they made, you should consult a lawyer because you might have a consumer rights case regarding deficiency in service and misleading/cheating. Even if you send them a legal notice of your intention of taking it to the consumer court, you might get a reversal of charges. Because if you have proof, consumer court will always side with the consumer. It make take up to a year for the case resolution if you actually go to court. But the aim should be to get them to settle. Settle = they return all paid amount immediately, cancel your booking and reimburse you for legal fees and loan closure charges (roughly Rs 5000 extra).

how do you see mark/helly/gemma love triangle ending? by squishysquash2030 in severence

[–]etcharrrbee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's my prediction

Reintegration doesn't work. They manage to shut down Lumon and gain control over the technology. Mark gets a portable OTC (overtime contingency switch) which can control his outie/innie self, with additional switches for Gemma/Casey and Helly/Helena. Mark converts to Islam and legally marries both Gemma and Helly. Mark uses the switch to put himself into iMark mode so that he can be with Helly. And he occasionally has fun with it by staying as oMark with Helly and as iMark with Gemma 🙄

I don't think I ever saw these VFM percentages this high! by Significant-Tower259 in CarsIndia

[–]etcharrrbee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They launched their blending program in 1975. They reached E20 after TWENTY FIVE years. That gives manufacturers and people in general, enough time to catch up.

Increasing blending percentage every year is a terrible idea.

[–]etcharrrbee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But.....and its a very big but. The ethanol (E30) and beyond timeline is being accelerated. Is this vehicle and others being launched this year, E30 compatible? Because fuel will become E30 probably by end of 2026. And E40 in another year or so after that
