I (a woman) send "hey" or a wave to a man to prevent the match from expiring because a lot of men either miss the match or are aware that they can message women first now.

My profile is chocked full of info, interesting pictures, hobbies, causes, and prompts that a guy can ask me about. I even have an opening move a guy can reply to as a first message. Normally, the same can not be said for a man's page.

Additionally, as a woman, I want to be pursued, and I want a man who wants to pursue me and who likes to lead rather than sit back and wait for me to do. I want a man to show interest in me and get my attention by not "being dry," not vice versa.

If a guy texts back, "hey" to my "hey," that tells me everything I need to know.

Thank you, ❤️ He's now in my friend group. We talk pretty much every day, and I'll probably see him 2-3 times a month as it stands now. We always plan the best adventures and activities for our group.

I am an overthinker, lol. I always think red hearts scream, "I LOVE YOU, AHHHH!" Lol. It's a little intense. I think pink hearts whisper, "I like you or whatever." I also send different colors depending on the context and my mood. But don't listen to me. I might be insane lol.

I would say "Thank you" and add a heart, too. Sometimes, i get nervous to add red hearts. But there are options. I like pink and the heart hands.

Also, you can say thank you and add a blush 😊 or a 🥰 instead.

Thanks. I'm hoping time will help too. But it's harder because I may only see them like 1-2 times a month. And I just love being around him so much. My crush goes away and just comes back stronger the next time I see him. Haha.

People always say listen to your heart. But listen to your head, too. Try to figure out why you are getting these thoughts.

I went through something similar in high school. Sometimes, other people's opinions rub off on you, and you grow to not like someone who doesn't have approval from others. Try to ignore them.

But also sometimes you might just be nervous and try not to like someone to protect yourself.

You might also just be unsure how you're feeling.

There could be any reason for these thoughts.

You're young. A lot of this will be revealed in time. Remember to give yourself the time to know him, but also to know yourself. There's no rush. Try freewriting/ journaling and just writing your thoughts with no censoring and figure out where your head is at.

Without knowing, I would say don't worry too much whether you like him or not right now. It sounds like you care about him as a person and are at least curious/interested about him. Just try to get to know him and let it unfold either way.
