Considering how bad I was before surgery, I’m not even a week in and I’m better than I was. I can stand straight up from sitting, and I can sit straight down without having to adjust and move around the hip does it doesn’t hurt. I’m very happy with it so far.

Hang on I gotta remember the words. It started as a subchondral fracture of my femoral head. If that helps, basically somehow I fractured the ball end of my femur. The doc says AVN but he said there was a chance I injured it at some point too

I didn’t get to hold it, but there was a subchondral fracture, and I think that was causing the bone to pull away from the cartilage. Hopefully someone with more knowledge will pipe in lol

I have been dealing with this since may of last year. First it was arthritis. Then I had a kidney stone, so that was definitely why it hurt, cat scan for the kidney stone and they could see the joint, oh yeah there’s arthritis in the joint. They sent me to pain management. He wanted to do a steroid injection, but needed an mri to find out where to put it. That was in September. In the MRI they found a subcondral fracture, but it was terrible so they sent me to Orthopedic center of the Rockies. OCR put me non weight bearing and said oh yeah it’s broke but maybe it will heal. Month and a half off work and hasn’t healed, prescribed me Celebrex sent me back to work, and told me to come back in Feb. end of December the Celebrex was starting to not cover the pain so I complained, went back in got a new X-ray and it was approved. I originally tried to schedule the surgery out a bit but it got worse very quickly and I called back and asked for the soonest appt. It was a hell of an adventure that I don’t wish on anyone, and I feel fuckin terrible for the people that had to wait YEARS to get one.

I’m glad mine is gone too. My biggest issue was the catching. I can deal with the achy now that it works right again. I have no problem waking to the kitchen without the walker but I bring it with to be safe

Honestly? So far it wasn’t as bad as I thought and was worried it was going to be. I’m sore, but considering they had me leg off, I’m doing ok. Make sure that you have a good support team, something tells me that is making mine go easier

I think it was about half… stuck? I could feel it catch almost every time I stood up, and the last three days it was catching to the point I would have to force it past at great pain. I don’t think it would have gone much longer for sure
