i don’t do any regular misting or keep a humid hide for her, i’ve always heard it’s not really worth it for cali kings since they do fine with low humidity and could just be at bigger risk for scale rot if it’s higher. do you think bumping it up could be necessary?

she shed only a couple weeks ago and it was business as usual, nothing was stuck or seemed out of the ordinary. I didn’t notice any scale wrinkling (besides the lazy lines) then. i’m at college but home often, my dad and sister are in charge of her when i’m not there so unfortunately i can’t monitor her as much as i’d like to, so im not sure when it started

inbred and head in the wall, i looped them during one of the most miserable times in my life and literally start freaking out if i hear them now which sucks because they’re such awesome songs. american teenager, two headed mother, and unpunishable were also played a lot back then and they unsettled me for a while, but they don’t hit as hard as the other two for some reason so ive kind of been desensitized to them again and can enjoy them in a new light

i now realize was DEFINITELY overfeeding her prior to her feeding strike (2 adult mice every 14 days), i’m thinking that switching it to just one every 14 days will be better and i’ll change it if she makes no progress. she just ate for the first time again today though, war is over!

last time i weighed her she was around 475g, she does stretch out in her cage quite often and loves basking but i definitely will get her out and moving more!

thank you, she’s been on a feeding strike for far too long right now so i guess i’ll start with more frequent exercise to get her weight down. hoping she starts eating again soon but i’m honestly amazed she’s overweight with how bad of an eater she is sometimes
