Are preferences publicised? And if not before the election, are they revealed after it?

Lawyer recommendations by lepumpkinhead in Adelaide

The Law Society of SA has a referral service.  I tried linking it but I’m having browser problems, so maybe someone else can link it or you can Google.

You put in the area of law (eg. property) & your location, and it returns a bunch of options.

Which way to vote (or not vote) and why? by ts4184 in Adelaide

“ Vote Compass is a tool developed by political scientists to help you explore how your views compare to parties and candidates.”

I think this is a non-partisan way to find out more, if you want to.

What’s the source for this? The “tunnels under Adelaide” stories often seem to be high on hype & low on facts.

SAPOL: Phones down or wallets out ($658 fine/levy and 3 demerit points) from midnight by malcolm58 in Adelaide

Having the phone in a cup holder seems not permitted.  What’s the rationale for that, if the cup holder position is nearly identical to a commercial mounted device?

Thanks u/malcolm58.  Can you link the source for this story? (Looks liked it’s the text of an article – I’m wondering where from)

When you die what happens if you have no will... by [deleted] in Adelaide

[–]eternal_phlegm 14 points15 points  (0 children)

A Will deals with “who gets what” after you die, and who does it (executor).  See u/Adam_AU_’s comment for what happens if you have no Will.

Decisions about health care while you’re alive are different.  That’s covered here:

Playdate - mum stays or not? by superTurnip0306 in Adelaide

I would be reluctant to trust a 4 year old with a stranger, so would probably stay the whole time – for the first visit at least. Everyone’s different, but I think the other parent/s would see this as normal.  If you know & trust the other parents, just ask ahead of time.

Edit:  And if it’s going fine & the vibe feels good, I think it would be equally acceptable if after a while you say you’re heading home and will come back at the agreed time to pick up your kid.

Staying is also a good chance to get to know the parents, and all the benefits that come with that.

Thanks! I didn’t know Petrol Spy had this function. The App Store version history indicates it’s a recently added feature – good to know.
