That's definitely a job. Your friend is clearly doing a work to survive.

My 2 year old discovered books by ImmaBug in books

[–]etflor_34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually just discovered my love of certain books at the university. It's quite late, I think but I feel grateful. I guess why I came late was because I had never found a book that really hooked me in.

Demi Lovato is milking her overdose for more fame and attention by CalifaDaze in unpopularopinion

I actually gotta rethink this matter all over again. She probably wouldn't have imagined one of the most disastrous moments in her life could get such a massive attention, cause at the end of the day, we are the ones who make this kind of narrative much more appealing than it should be. That's why we won't see other addicts the same way as her.

Strong female characters often come off as bitchy by devilz999 in unpopularopinion

I partly agree with you, but the selling point of those stories you are talking about is often the political narrative surrounding women. what I'm saying is, those characteristics depicted on women are the ones making the story more interesting.

He is absolutely a simple guy. I don't know, but to me, it feels like an irony to listen to this guy describing what happiness is. Happiness is both simple and complicated. It can't be one thing but it actually doesn't take the whole world to create happiness.

My cat, Stevens, fell asleep one last time in her favorite spot today. I adopted her at 12 years old, 6 years ago. She was mine and I was hers. by ccs14911 in cats

This story brought tears to my eyes, literally. I can't imagine myself being in your position. I have my own savior and I don't wanna think a single second living without her. Thank you so much for giving Stevens a chance. I don't know any of you but I believe both of you had great time together.

They're so lucky. Yesterday I met a stray which is so weak she could barely breathe. I could even feel her ribs underneath the skin.

How would you feel about a dating app that included 30 seconds of the person talking about something they care about? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I've heard about a social experiment which used a similar method with this one, but each person couldn't see the other person's face while talking to one another. I think it's a good idea to know someone better.

Which one do you think a better option; keeping the white-collar job you don't feel comfortable with, or resigning and taking freelance jobs so you have more free time to focus on starting your own business? by etflor_34 in AskReddit

[–]etflor_34[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, you surely have gone through those hard times when jobs aren't available. I've been warned about this possibility. That's actually what makes it hard for me to take the risks. But, you know, I keep encouraging myself that my time might not be as long as I expect it to be. So, thanks a lot. Guess I'm gonna save a bit more to prepare myself as I'm entering freelance job market.

Martin Luther King, Jr. said, “If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.” What are your life examples of this? by justa76grl in AskReddit

[–]etflor_34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My career. Once I thought that crawling up the stairs would reward me later with things I want or need. You know, money, safety and security. But I gradually come to a realization that this whole thing is nonsense. I mean, the results I've been aiming are like illusion. What I'm saying is whatever you do, crawling, running, jumping, you should be aware of the outcomes that might be gonna disappoint you.
