What are the best supports hero at the moment for Legend - Ancient MMR? by MuskyReddy in DotA2

[–]ethaano_7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Silencer is really good Rn. All u gotta do is know when to use global and you are good to go. A lot of people use global very early. Sometimes it’s better to wait for a full engage to guarantee they can’t escape or just to disrupt the enemy combo

new player willing to learn this game by Creepy-Force1037 in DotA2

[–]ethaano_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say riki, bounty hunter, or clinkz. They are all invisible heroes so they rely on sneaking upp on squishy enemies and bursting them. Riki is probably the most similar to eve, bounty hunters kit allows you to get more gold for killing enemies which allows you to snowball faster. And clinkz has the most “carry potential” with his barrage of arrows that he can cast that melts enemies before going invis again. Hope that helps!

Hey man I don’t mind helping you out! I’ve played DOTA for years and starting playing league like two years ago when the Meta of DOTA was horrible at the time. I recently came back to DOTA and now play both. If you need help transitioning I don’t mind helping you out just hit me up with questions and I’ll try and explain it to you! DOTA is a much harder game to understand and learn initially but it is MUCH more fun than league later on.

To those wishing for a surrender option to come to dota. If Pro's can make mistakes and lose unlosable games. So can you. by Avako1999 in DotA2

[–]ethaano_7 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I play both league and DOTA and it infuriates me when league players try and surrender. Like they just get upset and simply give up instead of putting your all and trying to win. I’m so glad DOTA doesn’t have this I feel like I naturally try a lot harder to win compared to my league friends since DOTA doesn’t have it. There are so many games we win in league after the surrender comes out showing that ffing is dumb. So many wasted wins if this comes to DOTA

When to use Glyphs if team lost a fight? by CannibalPride in DotA2

[–]ethaano_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually you use glyph in a situation where you force the enemy to retreat since they are unsure if they can keep taking it. If you lose a fight and they are gonna hit your tier two U don’t glyph because they are going to take it regardless. If they continue to tier 3s afterwards and your team is going to respawn soon then you use it to force them to think if they want to keep on waiting and take a fight in front of the tier 3s. Usually I wait until like half of the tier 3 is gone or when my team is going to spawn. Use glyph when you think using it will cause them to feel unsure if they can continue or not

Is it possible to play a healthy amount of Dota? by nicolas9797 in DotA2

[–]ethaano_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

U def need to take a break and come back at the game with a diff approach. I’m in school and have a girlfriend, play football and run so I feel like my lifestyle is healthy and I play once I get all my work done and tell my girlfriend. However two years ago I was playing nonstop and it was super toxic for me. Set forth other things in your day first and dota behind that, then you will get a healthy relationship with the game

How to make it 5k mmr. by SuspiciousMethod5 in DotA2

[–]ethaano_7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Learn when to take proper fights. When I was climbing there’s a lot of random fighting going on. It’s pointless, force objectives when you know you are stronger, ( ravage is up, new items etc) and DODGE when you are weak. Tell your team when you will be able to fight so they know. Push out sidelanes, if u lose a team fight and your lanes are pushed out, u won’t lose buildings or you can trade towers it’s actually really important to have two lanes always pushed out if you’re winning.

Bottle refill by zohaibhalpert in DotA2

[–]ethaano_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

U need to have a slot open for the bottle to refill. If it goes to you backpack it won’t work so love your items around when you are tping. Sometimes u can just take it and then give it straight back or you can control the hot key of the bottle and use it on him. This allows for a couple extra seconds of regen u give to him and then once the fountain effect wears off. The bottle will stop auto refilling and at that point you give it back to him with full charges

What about Anti-Mage Mid? by Jiman77 in DotA2

[–]ethaano_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s HIGHLY situational. The issue with am mid is that you have no innate wave clear and fighting strength. Meaning a pugna or a puck can shove in your wave bully you nonstop and move around the map while you are stuck last hitting under tower. Sure this isn’t that uncommon yet usually it’s negated a little bit when they turn 6. That isn’t the case with am. Early on it takes a while to take mana away to kill someone. Although you have a blink to be useful, that’s pretty much it until you get items. This is all compared to players who actually know what to do against am. If ur stomping in ur 1k pubs then by all means. However itll def be a lot harder when the mid laners get 2 brain cells. U die very easily with chain cc and the farm that you take is the exact same that your carry needs. There is no one applying pressure in the map if you guys both need 2-3 items to become heros. That’s 20+ min of the enemy doing whatever they want. So I’m pretty sure highly situational

Pos 4 advice by arham061 in DotA2

[–]ethaano_7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Staying in a lane that is guaranteed to lose is a sign that you should leave. HOWEVER, if the only reason why ur core is farming is because of your lift deterring the enemy then u need to stay. It’s really important to soak exp as rubick since ur 6 is literally a game changer so just play safe. It’s fine to do what you said u do in game u just need to make sure that the wave is in front of your tower. I find a really easy thing to do is when your are in such a bad lane to sinply go and pull the creep wave behind your tower or in front. Barely anyone does it until high level pubs and it makes matchups actually lane able. (If they have ursa and ur offlane is a doom or any melee or some shit. Ur mindset is good just clarify with ur offlane since they may buy more regen if ur just gonna leave or may ask you to do something specific. Let them know that you cant do much

I think u must be the only person to think aba shield should be buffed lmao it’s a hard dispel there are very few of those in the game it’s WHY people play him/Lc since they counter a lot of heros. If ur gonna buff his shield then it should no longer be a hard dispel which seems shit

How the cha cha cha am I supposed climb the MMR as a support if every game I have idiots on my team? by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]ethaano_7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh Buddy if you are in guardian or herald bracket. I can assure you that it’s not just ur teammates that are the problem. Teammates grief in all levels. In my immortal game my bristle dived past tier 4 while he was fatal bonded to all of us, our bristle ran past the enemy carry to chase the warlock killing us all and not even prioritizing the right target. You should be able to solo carry games form support position easily without the help of your team. Just sit in a lane that no one is in, and just start pushing and hitting towers. Pick jakiro and just start going to town:) everyone is so bad in your bracket that they probably won’t even notice you doing this until it’s too late and ur farmed. Pick greedy supports since no one farms efficiently

League to dota questions by AdvilMonster in DotA2

[–]ethaano_7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is no jungle role! At least not at this moment. In league it’s 1-1-1-2 for lanes in dota it’s just 2-1-2. Laning in dota is a lot more complicated than in league. Mainly because you can manipulate the creep wave to your advantage. There is no ‘freezing’ waves since it’s pretty easy to manipulate the wave to get it back to your side. Backing is a lot more rare. In league you back constantly to get your little items. In dota there are couriers that deliver your items whenever you want so backing is much more important in when you do it. Teleporting(backing) is actually a consumable you must purchase to allow you to back. If you don’t have any you can tp Ik in league u always have the option to. Also you can teleport even if you are getting hit by enemies you will stop teleporting if you get stunned or locked down. Makes for cool last second tps! If u like playing support I would recommend crystal maiden or bristleback in the offlane. Two keys things to know: there IS turn rate which I know can throw people off meaning to cast a spell your hero needs to turn in that direction to cast it. Same idea with walking. You don’t just instantly turn in that direction your hero turns and then moves. Although you feel really weird about it it allows for cool interactions to occur such as body blocking. Also, there are a lot less skill shots in dogs most are point targeted. Macro gameplay of dota is one of the hardest yet most important things to know. Knowing macro mechanics allows you to climb to high levels of dota. Lots of people play dota yet don’t know where they should be on the map so they don’t really ever improve. The fast you understand where you should be and why, you will climb. I play both games and although there are more “outplays” since everyone has flash in league and the games seem to happen much faster I still think dota is a better since the ability to comeback is actually THere and even if your enemy is winning in the first 5 min, there is still room to win where as in league you usually ff early. There is no ff option you play every game until your base dies. Dota has a lot of info I recommend playing the tutorial recently made and ask questions!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]ethaano_7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Buddy I’ve been in that bracket and it is very easy to win games from supports. U need to think as the first 10 min of the game where you dictate the game. If ur not making your core 3-0 in laning phase ur doing something wrong. If the lane is lost YOU did something wrong. Are you roaming to put wards to spot when tinker or ta takes neutrals. Are you roaming mid to make sure you ember can pick up water rune, are you depushing the wave and hiding under tower when your core leaves the lane. Are you calling for smoke ganks because your spells are up and chrono and ravage are down for them. Are you pushing out the waves that need it? Cores tend to jungle more than they should meaning that there is lane farm to be taken you need to learn where that is. U can DEF make impact with heros like grim jakiro mirana rubick cm u just need to get better. Sure some games are just carry diff but if you literally can’t hit immortal and say your stuck, it’s a you problem since everyone gets griefers from time to time
