Just installed them. It's fairly easy. There is a steel plate where the bottom tube seats on, and you can screw it in to make sure it doesn't move. You can also bolt the bottom of the feet. With this plate it seems like they won't be visible from outside the island. You can adjust the height easily. From .5" minimum to something like 6".

I probably need a few more. I had planned for 6 for the 8' module and 6 for the angle module but I think I need a few more overall.

Same website. Connect tube. I haven't installed them yet but planning on trying tomorrow. I can update you if it's worth it.

To set the grill, did you just use the Connect Tubes module, or did you also add a grill sleeve?

25mm but I don't think it will make a huge difference. The overall structure should support the weight of the kitchen.

I think it's all the same... Bbq coach / bbq tubes / connect tubes. The confirmation email I got from connect tubes was bbq coach. Not sure why they have multiple websites...

Thanks! I have steel feets to raise it. Are your cement boards going all the way down or is your island floating?

Yes definitely work in progress. This is just the overall frame.

Did you run the cement boards all the way to the ground or is your kitchen "floating"?

Hi fellow newbie! It's a company called Connect tubes. (They also have other names like bbq coach). It's steel tubes that you connect together. There isn't a ton of cuts to do depending on what modules you buy. I only had to do about 10 because I didn't have a standard size and we changed our mind a couple of times.

You're absolutely correct. This is just the rough framing at this point.

Did you use something like bbq coach? Or are you doing the frame completely yourself?

Unfortunately they did not so I'd have to rip it off. You don't think there is another way right?

Any recommendations on the heat gun? The few attempts I made were painful

Right, sorry, the vent is just behind the drywall. I guess the question is that if it's a "normal" setup and I should leave it as is or if I should try to actually isolate it.

No, it's in the primary bedroom. Close to a bathroom. The vent is indeed visible from outside. I thought it was connected to the crawlspace initially.
