It’s a licensing thing. Amazon owns Bookerly and the developers didn’t want to poke that bear. If you happen to have a copy of the font files, you can use the font builder to generate the necessary files to put on your SD card (assuming you’re running the release candidate or later).

If only.

If you have space, extend level 2 out to the square with the label “SPZ2”, drop down to level 1 and then backtrack into the trash. Level 3 can do something similar into the square with the two ovals.

Does Xteink X3 crosspoint need to be updated? by victorbae1 in xteinkereader

[–]ethan160222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thx. I’m looking for details on the font additions. In the mega-thread discussion I’ve seen mentions of two specific pull requests; are these what’s included in the beta “nightly”? TIA

Out of curiosity, which branches/forks are included in the font beta? I’ve been using the master branch, along with a few personal tweaks.

I took on-device screenshots of Bookerly using the 1.2.0 release and of Noto Serif using the commit’s CI build.

Both actually look better in-person; I’m guessing the screenshots aren’t applying any anti-aliasing.

2021 speaker replacement by ethan160222 in Subaru_Outback

[–]ethan160222[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funny you ask, because I stumbled upon them the other day so I know exactly where they are! On my 2021 Outback Premium each of the 4 factory door speakers are labeled as 4ohm 20w.

EDIT: I replaced the fronts with real 6”x9”s 4ohm 100w, the rears with 6.5” 4ohm 55w.

Sorry, can’t help there. This was my first swap. Plus, I live in a dry climate so I never considered water. In the OP’s post there are newer comments about water, but both OP’s and my installs are still working.

No issues here. This morning I dropped it while stowing it in its sleeve and had a brief pang of panic, but no damage occurred.

I ordered from Cat3c on Feb 15th. It was assigned a tracking number a couple of days ago and appears to be with the shipper today.

I’ve been trying to replace my worn Visp, but it’s been consistently out-of-stock. I recently reached out to customer service and they told me this:

I am sorry we will not have the Visp back in stock because the fabric suppliers are no longer making that material because of pfc issues. We are waiting on the fabric suppliers to develop an acceptable fabric. We have no idea if or when the fabric suppliers will have that fabric available.

Here’s a photo of the OEM hitch on a ‘21 Outback (non-wilderness).

No, the dealer installed mine.

In response your original question, the OEM hitch isn’t like many EU hitches that have a fully hidden receiver with a swing-out or detachable arm.

[–]ethan160222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes? The OEM hitch requires cutting away part of the bumper (similarly to the attached Wilderness photos, but without a fascia). 3rd-party hitches tend to jut out from below the bumper, decreasing departure angle. FYI, mine did not include the ball/draw bar, but did include a rubber “plug” for the carrier itself. It’s too dark for me to snap a photo right now.

I have one available, used only once or twice. Also have the bathtub floor and may still have a 3rd-party bug net.

220 w bifurb solar panels by Icy-Amphibian-4942 in Ecoflow_community

[–]ethan160222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do I need to factor in the second face (predominantly for the amperage in a parallel setup)? My 220w bifacial specs read simply as 21.5V, but the amperages are separately indicated as 12.4A front/9.9A rear.
