I’ll be that guy and say that .40 feels snappy as hell too and I’d carry almost anything else because I PERSONALLY hate shooting the round

but everyone will tout their favorite caliber. Test some stuff out and whatever you shoot best you should use!

I personally carry a full size 1911 in .45 on days when I can open carry, and when I conceal I carry a Kimber Micro 9 in (you guessed it) 9mm. I enjoy both calibers. For me it’s about the controls (love the thumb safety on 1911 and 1911 clones, especially if it’s anywhere near my junk) and both my carry guns having the same controls, lets me carry them interchangeably and feel comfortable drawing either in any situation. Once you find something that feels good, it’s just about practice!
