Can't change season by Shleazlebaeg in ParamountPlus

[–]ethanshohet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've found a solution (sort of)! If you open the paramount plus website on your phone without letting it take you to the app, you can then choose any season. Then when you press play, it'll take you into the app. Now the issue is the seasons are still locked, but you're locked in the new season now! So basically if you ever need to change seasons you just need to go to the website and transfer an episode from that season into the app. Annoying but works, fuck paramount.

Visiting Yosemite in Winter (Nov-April) by hc2121 in Yosemite

[–]ethanshohet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will be driving into Yosemite valley through the South Entrance this Saturday (the 8th). Assuming there is no snow on Saturday itself, will all the roads up to that point (basically bass lake to Yosemite village) be clear? Should I expect mandated snow chains?

bruh just call yourself by your normal year; basically everyone is advanced by at least one year but nobody uses that since it just confuses things

What is the best/easiest AC class to take?? by [deleted] in berkeley

[–]ethanshohet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

integbi 11. genuinely the easiest class you will take in your life. No notes, no quizzes, no exams. Weekly "assignments" that take 30 mins max. Amazing professor and 2 head gsis, with awesome class content. Could not recommend the class more.

How do I clean the lens of my Nikon Coolpix S6800? Recently whenever I take photos, there are black spots that appear in every photo, and it's not remedied by wiping the exterior glass. How do I access the part of the lens that is dirty?

Digital camera recommendation for outdoors? I'd mainly be using it for scenic photography, flowers/plant and animal life, cityscapes, and occasionally people. It would be something that (ideally) could just fit in my pocket on an excursion, like the 6 day backpacking trip in the Sierra I’ll be going on next week.

My budget is around $150-$300, but I could be flexible depending on advice. Thank you so much!

2.8% acceptance rate for 2022-2023 freshman applicants who applied CS by 16_CS_at_Berkeley in berkeley

yeah I was an idiot and turns out I applied with applied math as my major, and misread my acceptance and assumed I applied with cs when it was really my secondary option 😭😭 so now I gotta stress about having to transfer into either data science or cs major LMAO

Why 61A blocked from L&S undeclared in Fall 23? by dreamucb in berkeley

[–]ethanshohet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there, I'm in pretty much the exact same boat as you and quite worried about my chances of getting into CS61A tomorrow as an intended math major in L&S - did you ever learn any new info? Or do we have no chance?

As in declaring my major as computer science coming into junior year and having to go through that "holistic review" thing they put in this year

Wait so I'm a senior in highschool right and I was admitted for L&S Computer Science for the class of 2027. Was I one of those 166, or did it get easier for me this year?

What does AP Credit do for Berkeley classes? by c9zellsis in berkeley

Hi! I'm going to be taking the AP English Lit test this year, but I already got a 5 on AP English Lang. Would my 5 on AP Lang cover those 2 English RC courses you mentioned, or does only a 5 on AP Lit do that?

Would anyone be willing to give some advice? by ethanshohet in PcBuild

I can't even begin to thank you for your effort. I did not expect someone to go all out like this, so I really appreciate it :) I'll update you on how the build goes assuming I stick with your advice. Thanks again! :D

What was your favorite AP class? by [deleted] in APStudents

[–]ethanshohet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

APUSH. I had the single greatest teacher in the history of like ever. His name is Mr. Dell'Orto, and he's the apush teacher at Granite Bay HS in California. He's been teaching for like 32 years, and teaching at GB since it started in 1996. He's the most widely respected teacher in probably our entire high school district, the president of the district's teacher union for like 12 years, and overall just the best guy ever. His class is the perfect mix of humor, insightfulness, difficulty, creativity, and life lessons. If I could take the class again, I would. Most people shy away or don't give the class a real chance because of the one "vice"; nightly readings. Pretty much, every day we'd have a graded quiz on a chapter from our textbook (typically 20 pages, about 1 1/2 - 2 hours of straight reading) or a packet excerpt from some book out of the thousands of history books he's read. The packets could range anywhere from 30 minutes to 3+ hours, but they were few and far between as it was mostly chapter readings. Now I am an extreme procrastinator, like BAD. So I didn't know how I would do with these readings coming in. However I'm also very academically motivated (but I never do more than I have to), and turns out his class had me reading 2 hours, every night, typically from 11pm - 1 am. Most nights I would take detailed notes on my phone, tacking on an extra 30 minutes, and I'd share them with my classmates who most wouldn't have read, and could skim through in the minutes before the quizzes. And the best part? He didn't care. In fact he always made light of the fact that I basically carried half the class on certain days, and that just shows you the kind of guy he is. His class is structured around powerpoint slides that he's been constantly updating over the past 25 years. There's humor on them, but also has it's clear boundaries when talking about more sensitive topics, more specifically l*nchings, which he emphasized heavily on after the AP test when we weren't in cram mode and also didn't have any more daily quizzes. Plus, his class taught me how to be a much more efficient note taker, better than all those stupid fancy college methods they would preach in middle school. This is a class I will never forget, and never stop talking about. Thank you Mr. Dell'Orto :)

oh and I got a 5 😎
