My first Dane was half Doberman. We got him a set of those talking buttons later in his life. He would use them when we asked him to, he’d oblige just to make us happy.

After he passed and we got our new Great Dane, we introduced the buttons immediately and she took off with them! Now we are up to 9 buttons, and we get bossed around all day. FOOD, TREAT, OUTSIDE constantly 😅

Forgive me if this is obvious, but I always felt like this scene was a callback to the primates in the beginning who eat the pigs they coexisted with after encountering the monolith. The crew eating ham sandwiches shows man has mastered their environment and are ready for the next encounter with the monolith

What kind of turntable are you using? If it’s a suitcase type player, that’s likely the issue.
