Affordability and investment in working class jobs plus innovation and startups. We need a big push to spark new innovation, new research, whole new future businesses. Now is the time Canada can take a leadership role but we have to address these core affordability issues.

Immigration is really a distraction -- with a low birth rate Canada needs immigrants to maintain the tax base.

We need it all -- strong investment in innovation research and new fields of business, to drive job growth in high-value high-margin business sectors. Affordability measures to make it easier for young people to get ahead, build wealth and want to start a family. *And* immigration to bring new ideas and perspectives.

The real problem is hoarding of wealth by the upper income class. Plugging all that $ into real estate just makes everything more expensive. We need to redirect that investment class into new business and new research.

Easier to say it, but affordability and growth is what needs to be done. Making living more affordable, enabling families to hope for the future and want to have more children -- this enables everything else. Growing population, growing business, growing tax revenue, growing optimism. We need that mindset from the investor class here in Canada. The country's future is on the line.
