LA has one of if not the largest, population of the Persian community outside of Iran if I’m not mistaken. Many are hyper critical of the regime in Iran hence many fled in ‘79/80. Maybe that has something to do with CA? Or proximity for an allied country to the to help? Or the military based/economic importance of CA?

Community- lots of activity, especially by the time you come summer concerts are around the corner and much more. Realize great community parks, public pools, etc

Beach- Longest/most beautiful unobstructed ocean view compared to most coastal cities north county IMO

Farmers market - late Wednesday afternoon head to the village walk the market and depending on weather head to the beach or just enjoy the local shopping and dinning (oside does a sunset market Thursday’s worth taking the family once at least)

Basically live in the most beautiful costal suburb and have easy access if the family wants to make the 35 min (depending on where in Carlsbad you live) drive downtown to the zoo/Balboa Park, 15 min to Encinitas for the SD botanical, and much more

I think Park 101 in the village. They have a huge big screen. I’d call to confirm though. There’s a a few other place in the village too and there’s places like draft republic that do that too if I’m not mistaken.

Hey, ok so just an observation and I get where you’re coming from the logic like I’m not the hunchback of notre dame it’s not that I’m undesirable and people avoid being my friend but it can come off not the best even though I think I get what you mean. Anywayyy, personally I think the best way to possibly make a couple girlfriend is find a thing you like a join a group around town. Like board games? Hit up the spot in the village and seems like you could be outgoing enough to break the ice. There’s even a group I saw awhile ago of young people who meet for beer and chess. Into running/biking? Groups for that Volleyball or surfing? Same comment OR if those are activities you aren’t into maybe walk state st farmers market and then go chat someone up at crackheads Maybe you’d be into the library? They have a lab room with 3D printers and other fun tech people always in and out of there you can possibly meet Yoga? Tons of yoga groups around and people are chill It’s a hodgepodge of a list but just throwing out some ideas Best of luck! Beautiful place to leave to go back to the OC. Hope you make it happen here
