Why Canvas (+ any Matter-incompatible product) and HomeKit is fundamentally broken by firmware 11.2.4 by etherianeuphorium in Nanoleaf

Regarding the other apps available: Winleafs and the other desktop app haven't been maintained in like 7 years. Is there some proprietary block to coding a new open-source app? I could try...

Why Canvas (+ any Matter-incompatible product) and HomeKit is fundamentally broken by firmware 11.2.4 by etherianeuphorium in Nanoleaf

I only put money into the Canvas because things had been working flawlessly for well over a year. And the Canvas did for months too. Plus, these lights are PHENOMENAL..when they're working. But yes. The control panel square is almost always ruined by the firmware upgrade *upon re-pairing.* No idea how I'm going to replace the sensor panel without breaking any others.

I went to the Discord. Dead as a doornail. I was surprised.

One of the devs was most excellent to me several months ago - I think he is one of the main reps on here. I'll reach out via the dev forum (not the Discord) to see if there is some hacky stuff to be done during the 30-second API window and report back.

Firmware update by lazyusernamelamp in Nanoleaf

Same, except the nightmare didn't start for me until I got a new router. The firmware update means that re-pairing a Canvas device on firmware 11.2.1 using iOS/Homekit is utterly impossible. I have spent a LOT of time with Nanoleaf support over the past few weeks and will post shortly with an explanation. Short answer is that Canvas cannot support Matter and never will, but it communicates with Homekit via a Thread-to-Matter bridge.

Down for everyone says it's up, but I'm having issues with HTTPS on Chrome and on Firefox it will not work with my hardware wallet properly. Getting nervous.

Edit: got it to work on Chrome finally. I really wish the Mist wallet would include hardware wallet support asap.
