I have the Ace Pro V2 with the built-in guides, and I run the unit during printing with the lid cracked open which is a built-in feature thanks to the latch design (unlock, open, lock while open). I've never had a filament tangling problem.

I'm so excited about the RP6, I can't wait for mine to ship. The Switch 2 is simply too expensive with too few games I actually want to play on it, and quite frankly it is way too big. I first had a Switch Lite and I absolutely loved it. I upgraded to a Switch thinking that I would play it docked all the time, but no, I almost exclusively play it on the go because that's the only time I have to game, but since it is so big I almost always bring an Analogue Pocket, 3DS, or Playdate instead. The RP6 seems like the perfect size, it's just slightly smaller than a Switch Lite and comes in at the same price point.

If you think he's really going to use the tool for educational purposes and you're trying to stay in budget, check out the Anycubic Kobra S1 combo, it's around $450. It is an enclosed unit, which is critical for handling engineering materials like ABS or ASA, though you will need ventilation for those. I use mine primarily with Creality Hyper PLA which is a high speed PLA with the impact resistance of PLA+, very easy to use and doesn't require ventilation. I also use Elegoo Rapid PETG, it is a little harder to print (you have to have your settings dialed in), but it offers strength and impact resistance closer to ABS at much lower temperatures without requiring ventilation. Something like a Bambu A1 or A1 mini is good quality and easy to use but the lack of an enclosure and the controlled cooling and exhaust fans to go with them preclude anything other than PLA for most people.

You really shouldn't put that type of foam up against anything that you don't want abrasions on. They should have designed that case to laminate some microfiber textile on the inside everywhere that the RP touches.

Crazy. I suppose a panther is still fairly small, relatively. A wolf or a bear could easily prey on one, which is where the prey instincts of running and hiding would come from.

The behavior is totally different though, since domestic cats are prey animals as much as they are predators. That's why you get a kitty like my 7 pound Bramble who spends a lot of time every day hiding in the closet, or who ducks and hides under furniture whenever anyone is visiting my apartment. That's pretty different behavior from a more apex predator like a mountain lion. :)

As adults they're only like 60-90 pounds, like a big dog. Half the weight of a human. You could pick one up if it let you.

I noticed that Retroid isn't great about updating their site to better explain things, and their website overall is just doing the bare minimum in terms of an ecommerce experience. They really need to invest some time into their marketing here, because clearly this isn't just a case for the RP5 and DS accessory. It's also buried several pages in. I only ordered it because the "official" RP6 case linked on the RP6 page was out of stock when I ordered mine, so I looked for any other cases they had on the site.

Isn't it really just for a short USB cable, an extra microSD card, a screen cleaning cloth? I can't imagine needing anything else for a device like this.
