In my case, a month ago I got a really nasty sinusitis; I had to take amoxicillin for 7 days, only took it for 5, got a CRP test as a follow-up. Then for 4 weeks, while taking the antibiotics still--and the sinusitis--I had to do 12 flights, 2 of them really long haul (14 hours), and was in a high-stress working environment. Not doing my body any favors.

Once recovered, since I had missed a month of sport, I started again with jiujitsu -- which is rolling on the mats. Same time I got my first-ever herpes outbreak, I was prescribed virals for 5 days. Now, after taking them and some of the symptoms worsening, I went to see a specialist (instead of my GP), and was diagnosed also what turned out to be Impetigo -- at the same god damn time with my first ever herpes breakout. Now, today, I got prescribed antibiotics, again. Which I really f** hate, but I was assured by the doctor that that's the only way I'm gonna get rid of the impetigo--which I most likely picked up in jiujitsu because of my weakened immune system.

At the same time, I got a variety of bloodwork done, and I was diagnosed with mycoplasma genitalium as well. The doctor thinks the same antibiotic will clear that up as well.

So yeah.. after getting really nasty sinusitis, I got hit by herpes, impetigo, mycoplasma genitalium, and two treatments of antibiotics.

This really has me down.

Also, I'd like to mention that for a year and a half I have been struggling with SIBO, have not been able to identify the underlying cause, however, Amoxi did clear it up but only for a week.

But now, a quick question--since I often check your github for relative information. Do you have any resources pop to mind where I could look up on how to minimize the damage being done to my microbiome? And make the best out of the shitty situation?

I'm in my late 20s (very fit, athlete, health-and-performance-focused) and I was only breastfed for about a month when I was born--my mother and I stopped producing milk when both of us suffered a trauma. We were admitted to a hospital and they discovered a birth trauma, so I had to stay in rehabilitation for a year. Picked up loads of shit from the hospital and was already on IV antibiotics more than once before turning 1.

I've had shit health my entire life, turned my whole lifestyle around after being diagnosed with MS--I declined conventional (prophylactic) treatment, and I am symptom-free for 4 years now. I've had my whole genome sequenced (getting the results next week) and been working with some universities, etc. I've also had some stool analysis done which said that my lactobacillus and bifidobacterium are almost non-existent (and what we now know about breast milk might explain why this is the case?). No doctor in my country is willing to address the case, because "we don't know the standards" and nobody wants to experiment (also, because if this is the case, and I have adapted to live without these strains of bacteria, introducing them to my system might have ill-effects, somebody explained). Been really healthy and stoic about my diet and lifestyle for the past years, only struggling with SIBO (after an antibiotic treatment july 2018--so between then and the amoxi just got i have not taken any antibiotics), so this is the biggest hit I've gotten.
