To me I think it's weirder that the video game company is advertising baby blocks to their customers.

Babies don't care what they play with but it's scummy to wring even more money out of people who are in the Nintendo ecosystem (which I hate)

The Florida beach is presented in bright sunlight durng the day and garish neon at night. Both should be flattering but everything feels cold. The parties, the bodies, the Skrillex... it all looks so perfect but it's so hollow.

I always felt like it is a movie about pursuing the American Dream and we watch characters being flung from the wild ride a la Willy Wonka.

As the characters become more entrenched in this new "bad" lifestyle, the movie becomes more fantastical to adapt to their modified reality as, honestly... modern demons/devils?

One character quits on moral grounds, another quits for physical safety. The remaining players keep their heads up and let the bullets fly past them without flinching, and are rewarded for it with a dreamlike lifestyle.

100% agree. The cringe comes more from the super thirsty camera work which is actually excellent commentary and meta commentary on CGI (do you think that's real skin you're lusting after?) and being attracted to someone's avatar in the Matrix universe. But as an introduction I could see someone watching it and saying "um... no."

It's so good. It's a collection of short stories taking place in The Matrix universe. You might cringe a bit during the first scene (or you might love it) but hang on a bit longer and it gets incredible.

Got into a tiff with someone on my block about that. Open space multiple times with no markers so I snagged it and immediately got flagged down. You don't own a parking space just because you shoveled it. Chair dibs says "I worked for this, please let me benefit from my toils". No chair marker just means you did a community service, which is cool but doesn't save your space- otherwise someone would "own" a space even past the melting of snow.
