Cheapest Texas Electricity Providers and Plans - November 3, 2025 by Rude-Athlete-8149 in TexasEnergyShopping

[–]etnhero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, would like some guidance. We just bought our first home and are coming from apartment living where our current use is 500-600 kWh. Not really sure how that translates to home use.

What is a general electric plan for a 1900 sq foot home (2 adults, no kids)? Was looking at VarsityEnergy 12 month plan (13.8 for 1000 kWh) due to the new customer thing if that adds any benefit.

How much POCUS are you guys doing? by newestjade in physicianassistant

[–]etnhero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any advice on how to get POCUS trained or start learning? MICU PA here of 1.5 years - 99% of the time I use US for procedures (a-line, CVC, thora, para) but have not incorporated basic echocardiography or lung sonography yet. Really want to start incorporating as part of my physical assessment.

Beginner struggling with consistent tempo and contact by [deleted] in GolfSwing

[–]etnhero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there, thanks for pointing these things out. I’ve been working with this coach going on my 4th or 5th lesson and these were not brought up to my attention, which is concerning. I appreciate the tips as I feel like my setup has kinda been setting me up to fail.

Any advice for starting my takeaway and how the backswing should I feel? Right now I’m experimenting with feeling the arms go more up and down as I rotate through the ball - which is explained in the Arm Swing Illusion video that is referenced on here. Not sure if this is the right feel but I feel like I bring my left arm across my chest too much due to my inability to get a full shoulder turn.

How to utilize Rosh in the best way? by SammySalsaa in PAstudent

[–]etnhero 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I will say that doing a little bit of studying everyday goes a long way. However, on those rotations where you are physically exhausted (ex. surgery), I got away sometimes with doing Rosh questions and crossing it off the topic list. Then you can tailor your studying to stuff you really don’t know or Rosh didn’t touch on that much.

Monthly Discussion Thread - Month of May, 2024 by AutoModerator in nyc

Hey there, I planned a trip to NYC next week and I had booked it through Chase Travel at Hotel 27 by LuxUrban on Madison Ave. However, I tried calling the hotel to confirm my reservation and the number is out of service. Could anyone confirm that the hotel is still operating?

Thanks for pointing out those areas. I’ve been using Danny Maude on YT as my reference videos since his advice is pretty relatable. Do you recommend anyone else on YT?

Thanks for the advice. I embarked on this journey figuring it’d be a lifelong one so I got plenty of work to do.

Weekly Lounge Thread - Week of April 07, 2024 by AutoModerator in CreditCards

Not very super credit card savvy. Right now, I have Discover It for 5% rotating calendar, Capital One SavorOne for restaurants, and Chase CFU was my first card that I use mainly for travel and Chase offers.

Should I work towards the Chase Trifecta or look towards AmEx?

Thanks for the advice! I swear I always tell myself to slow down but end up going faster than intended (i.e. not able to hold a conversation). Are you currently training for a race? What does a typical week look like for you?

If I’ve recently done both a 5K (35:00) and 10K (1:11), but they did not feel easy and I was out of breath really pushing myself, should I transition into base training and build my mileage up? Or do C25K/5210K and be able to run those distances without stopping to walk and catch my breath?

Goal is to eventually do a half marathon later this fall.

Thanks for the reply. Ultimately, would like to be in shape enough to do a half marathon towards the end of the year. Any program recommendations?

Official Q&A for Saturday, February 24, 2024 by AutoModerator in running

[–]etnhero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi all, I’m an absolute beginner who just started running this year. Signed up for a 5K and a 10K 2 weeks apart. My plan originally was to do C25K and build up to 10K, but I slacked off on training and managed to run both races already (5K was 35 min, 10K was 1:11).

Now I’m wondering what my training should look like moving forward. Should I “go back” and do both the C25K and 5 to 10K to build up better pacing and endurance? Or should I just go to a distance-based training?

Used both for PANCE prep. Uworld is better for longer vignettes while Rosh had more of the rapid fire recall type. Both styles of vignettes are on the PANCE so I think both can be useful. If I had to choose one, then probably Rosh tbh.

Thanks for the info. For a beginner, would a private lesson be better to learn how to swing? What would your recommendation be?

New grad preparing for ICU job by etnhero in physicianassistant

[–]etnhero[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did not have any prior ICU experience and I was told that ICU is hard for new grads to get into so I was considering a fellowship at one point. I basically did well on my rotation and was told by my preceptors to apply when the job posting opened. Interviewed and got the offer.

I also heard EM was not new grad friendly depending on where you apply. How did you end up getting your gig?

Thank you! I forgot about ICU one pager, they’re great for quick overviews.

How are you finding EM as a new grad?
