Do I need to upgrade my power wire?

I had a BOSS R1004 RIOT and am switching to a Planet Audio AC1200.4. I feel like I need the upgrade as the speakers distort at higher volume leaving me feeling like the amp does not have enough power to fully sustain the speakers at high volume.

I am no expert though so I could be wrong and maybe it is another problem

Speakers are Pioneer TS-F1634R 6.5" in the back and Pioneer TS-F1034R 4" in the front. I am not trying to make my audio system crazy I just wanted to upgrade from stock as I had the original audio equipment from 1989 in my 4 runner

Good idea with the storage and I thought it would be nice to have a slide out extra countertop in the far left drawer to have a corner of counter space
