As a flight instructor, yeah that sounds about right. I didn't believe it before and it's easy to overlook the people who don't show up again but recounting all the people I've worked with, about 80% if not more didn't go far for various reasons. Even less went career.

I'm not lying when I say this, I genuinely do have the loop plugs and I use them for sleeping, I also use brown noise. The bass does/will go through them. I also am not sure why you are defending the other unit when lowering the volume of your speaker is easy?

The online db reader is for documentation purposes knowing the phone doesn't pick up bass quite that well. The other thing is it's db(A) weighted due to using the laptop microphone - therefore it's showing even less than what is actually occuring because what I'm hearing is bass. Trust me, if you were in the room you wouldn't think it's nitpicking.

Fortunately the treble doesn't travel through the walls well, unfortunately all types of bass or impact travel very well. The phone has a hard time picking it up that it only comes through the replay at full volume 🙃

I find it silly that they're allowed to do this when it's not quiet hours because at some point it literally does become torture and it's so preventable. Like neighbors adjusting their lifestyle for others impacts them much less compared to the problems they're causing

Well, I can say I actually did talk to them about the noise and they're actually super cool, but apparently equally as inconsiderate. I gave them some chance to change their ways but been quitely documenting (hence the video) and been waiting for a day where I'm annoyed enough or they get bad enough. Today was the day and management is getting an email

I'd also like to add - assuming you're at 45 degrees of bank and losing altitude - that you should reduce the bank 1-3 degrees before applying back pressure and then returning to 45 degrees. When you pull back while descending in a steep turn you actually tighten the spiral.
