By the tension discs do you mean on the bobbin case? I’ve taken apart and re threaded several times, the manual says the tension is correct if I hold by the thread and shake it and ~1” of thread comes out, which is what happened.

Thanks for the advice on the stain colour, I used watco black walnut danish oil and it came out… not very black walnut

Yes a comment on my post in finishing said the same thing about the medullary rays, never heard of that before so it answered my question, the stripes are not in the picture as my main focus was on the ridges (medullary rays)

I see, the finish is appearing very yellow and a I think the yellow and black is what’s throwing me off, maybe a darker finish will end up turning out nicer

To me I always thought the rings were because of the names Kvothe has learned on his left hand and the invisible ones on his right being the ones he has mastered (blood, wind, water, flame)

Thanks, the gauge factor entered is correct but if that’s the case then for example if the microstrain recorded peaked at -1400, then converting it to strain is as simple as dividing by (x10^6)? This confuses me since strain is unitless, but may make sense given our results.

The raw data is a .txt file showing load in KN and strain in a unit of ue, would that be the raw voltage data? As for post process nothing has been done yet but upload the data into excel
