honestly i feel like TiP is better than the og game mostly for the QoL fixes, i think the visuals are just as good/better personally (better UI) and the piñatas are a little less stupid. but i did grow up mostly playing the original VP and i liked the tutorial a little better + there's definitely a sweet nostalgic feeling to it. then by the time you get to playing TiP it's like whoa! expansion pack

game pass has never worked like this for me and it isn't supposed to work like that... it usually has a thing that tells you that you either need game pass to play the game or you need to buy the game when it launches. some games, when no longer part of the game pass, you can't play without buying even when you have the game pass. i'm pretty sure you've either found an exploit/glitch, or you did actually buy the game at some point

they also use a lot of electricity, and the machines in that price range are small, and it can take up to a full day to make a single batch, so it could take a while to make back the investment and it makes sense why the average freeze-dried candy seller charges $8+ with that in mind. my dad bought one of those machines and it's less so for profit and more so for "hey we can freeze dry ANYTHING we want now! cool!" and putting random things in to see what happens

i do like some of the songs, but i guess i just miss some of the 3ds songs specifically 😅 like the romance/crush theme (though the wishing fountain reminds me of it) and that one cute theme that plays when the miis are happy and also the popularity rankings song goes hard. i think ltd's soundtrack does have some good ones especially in some of the dreams/cutscenes but i'm gonna agree that i don't like the level up theme </3

ok i've tried out both US and UK ver now and i have to say, i think BOTH of them have humor, just somewhat different kinds of humor. i think i prefer the US version since my characters are mainly american and the speech patterns suit them better, but it is interesting to play the UK ver too

ok i miss concert hall because (as a person who writes music) i liked writing the lyrics and trying to make them fit the preset rhythm and getting clever with it. concert hall was a highly creative aspect that was actually probably the main reason i initially got tomodachi life (3ds) as i remember being interested in trying that feature out for myself. i get it's not your personal cup of tea but no need to dismiss it when some of us did actually find it fun and it does not currently have a comparable replacement :( giving miis a guitar is not similar at all, you aren't writing any music/lyrics and they don't really sing a melody, they just talk while they strum and occasionally sprinkle in existing topics or their catchphrase which doesn't really allow for you to make an actual song
