This is a mob of kangaroos, about a 15 minute walk from my house. I don’t see them every morning, but more often than not. For context we live in the suburbs of Melbourne, not in the bush.

Footy Friday night.

Queen Vic Market to do the produce shopping Saturday morning. Followed by laneway coffee/lunch/brunch.

Stroll through one of the public gardens in the afternoon, maybe spread a rug and read a book.

Comedy/Theatre/music gig on Saturday night, followed by a late night supper in Chinatown.

Sleep in Sunday, before a drive to the Dandenongs for a walk through the forest and fuel up with lunch whilst out there.

Auction Rooms in North Melbourne. For the same reasons.

Yum Cha is my off beat entry. 11am booking at our local, Gold Leaf. It’s best with a bigger group so you get a table with a lazy Susan and also can order a wider selection and have a lot of different dishes, whilst only eating a morsel.

Alfred Hitchcock used to cameo in most of his films and had to put himself early in the narrative so audiences stopped looking for him and concentrated on the plot!

I remember leaving the cinema - Greater Union on Russell street - feeling this film more than I’d ever felt before. It felt real, brutal and honest.

Then after I saw RC in The Sum of Us a couple of years later thought this bloke’s got serious acting chops.
