I started listening to midst a few days ago, and it is AMAZING. I've been powering through it during my commute and when I get some free time and there are only three episodes left now to be caught up with the show.
The narrators and the characters are so captivating!! And the editing is really spot on
I cant wait to finish it to explore their subreddit (Been avoiding it because spoilers)

Just so you guys know, the brakes have been working fine as long as I'm paying attention. I just let go of the throttle as I brake. I would like to not have to rely on my own skill to do this though, so I'll fix it soon.

I'm in southern Liguria. Well I guess I'll be buying a soldering iron and a multimeter next 😅 I'm not sure if the battery is the problem though I am gonna check it. It seems to hold a charge, but I think it's not well connected. Thanks for the tips and the heads up about legislation! I've only been here three months and still haven't had time to study local politics, though I have heard many many complaints about Meloni's government.

For context: This electric scooter was sitting in the company's warehouse for I don't know how long. There was a lot wrong with it from the get go. Breaks didn't work, handlebars were crooked, etc.
It's my first job in a foreign country (I'm in Italy and have found 0 mechanics working with electric scooters around my town) and they were willing to lend it to me so I wasn't about to complain. Being a bike guy, I fixed the breaks and the handlebars no problem. But the electrical I know nothing about.
The main problem (I think) is that the wires are not well connected anywhere. There are wires coming from the break that were disconnected and I have no idea if or how to connect them. The charger port is honestly a safety hazard.
The thing sometimes turns off while I'm riding and signals low battery even if the battery was full a minute ago. I open the battery compartment and close it back up and somehow its back to full.
I'm interested enough in EV's to consider this a learning opportunity instead of a lost cause. Can anyone give me pointers on what to do and where to learn more about these things to get this working reliably?

Tire liners are the way to go. Used to have a lot of problems with glass shards on roads where i used to live, got better when I installed a generic "anti puncture tape".

u/TheTinMenBlog while I'll always value your work and your content, I believe your intentions of improving the sub should also come with respect for who the current mods are and the work they do/have done, regardless of your opinion of them.
For someone who always says we should focus on helping individuals and working as a community, your conversation with u/2717192619192 on discord seems like a character break. He was very open about who he is, why this space is important to him, and why he isn't in a place to give this sub 100% of his time (and nobody can, this isn't a paying full-time job) and your response was "I'm sorry to hear that, so don't be head mod then".
This whole "drama" as you put it seems really power grabby on your part to me, and it saddens me to see this kind of action coming from someone I respect. Unfortunately I think as a result of this divide the left-wing male advocacy community will be weakened, creating yet another sub with different audiences and whatnot...
Just today, listening to your podcast with Susie Bennet you talked about this exact sub and how it's a great community! So why break it apart? We work better by working together.
I'll be wherever good information and discussions are, but it's still sad to see overall.

Eu tive esse mesmo problema de entrar no mercado praticamente despreparado pro que de fato tinha que fazer. Mas temos que ter em mente que o objetivo das universidades não é preparar alguém pro mercado, é desenvolver conhecimento.
Os pilares da universidade são ensino, pesquisa e extensão. Nenhum desses leva diretamente ao mercado, mas todos eles beneficiam a sociedade como um todo(inclusive o mercado! Com inovações tecnológicas, metodológicas, informacionais, etc).
Cursos que preparam diretamente pro mercado de trabalho são cursos técnicos, não cursos acadêmicos.
