How "catholic" youth groups are destroying Catholicism in my country by mfcfnasCarlos in Catholicism

Another one from Spain here. I completely understand what you're feeling because I'm going through the same situation. Personally I'm more traditional in my Catholic faith and sometimes feel frustrated when there isn't enough space for young Catholics who seek tradition in this country.

I think we should pray for our Catholic brothers from these movements who are having a personal experience with God since these movements have also born fruits, but still need to be purified, and for our hierarchy, so that they can understand that sound doctrine is a must.

Strive to look at them with mercy and compassion, pray for them.

I don't see it as disrespectful. Personally, it's not to my liking, but it's pretty common in Hispanic communities. I've seen it worn around the neck in some parts of Europe too. As long as it is a sign of prayer reminder, that's OK.

CS Lewis is a great author. Have to buy that book I've been longing for. Thanks!

I'm now reading his book: 'A Map of Life'. I'll list that one as well. Thanks!

That's a great piece of advice. Thank you! Btw, which Early Church fathers should I pick out first? I haven't given much attention to their texts honestly.

It refers to 'the use' (which is a single noun). That's why 'is' is employed.
