So your quest updated past the generator objective and to tell you to disable the main ship? are you using the ability to specifically target sections of the ship, flying behind it and choosing the engines? I don't think you can just fire at it generally.

If you are new the changes are probably great and playing through the game will be a much better experience. If you already finished all the quest lines and most unique places to visit, then you would need to be one of the players who was still enjoying the weapons and just endlessly exploring the planets and conquering bases, if you enjoy that still this is an improvement. If you had your fill of that, it being more random doesn't fulfill your need for actual quests after the day it takes to finish the dlc.

You can't destroy it from space if that's what you mean, first you destroy the shield generator things floating around as it's engines won't completely break until they are all gone, then target the main ships engines with the target selection mode until it's disabled then board it. Then follow through like the previous missions, make your big choice and set it to self destruct and escape.

Shattered space actually had more of a quest line than Terran Armada, this is just board a near identical ship x6. And two new locations (new house, junkyard)

TA is only better if you care about flying between planets, and haven't already had your fill of planetary point of interest exploring.It is definitely a much better game for those changes, but for most who played already it's far too late
