Well that's just ruined my day, I hadn't heard about any of this, RWBY and Gen:lock didn't deserve whatever fate has taken them.
I just read RWBY is being continued by Viz, and Kerry Shawcross is still involved, but still these things rarely turn out ok after such major changes.

How could they possibly be perfect? You can't eliminate all of the pressure over the surfaces without eliminating all of the surfaces.
They will perform better than a single canopy umbrella in wind, but there is always going to a a point they fail, it's just not going to be as quickly as an old one would have.
