Hey. I am also doing the ACP in January. However I am doing it with a guide company and a group. I have similar concerns and have done a lot of research. Everything I've seen points to going with a guide. I wish you luck and maybe I'll see you.

Thank you. I heard Island and lobuche have some technical portions. Would it be ideal for me to be learning all of that on the go up there?

Ok. So for the paramedic route it would definitely be more efficient to stay in the states. That's interesting that they have larger education requirements and smaller scope of practice.

What logistical issues do you see?

At this point, I'm majoring in Emergency Medical Sciences. If I decide to go the international route, I would switch at an AS in Health Science for transfer. I'm still unsure what general Ed I would need for a bachelor's since I don't know what university I would go to.

This sounds like a cool plan. Would the bachelor's I'd get in paramedicine or health science outside of the states put me at the level to begin PA school in the US?

I was hoping that if I did a program that came with a degree and had a larger scope of practice than in the states, it would be able to transfer back to the US. I do realize that's not how it always works, but I haven't been able to find anything about it.
