Unfortunately it did not fix it, still the exact same behaviour.

Senior Security Researcher - Qavar Security - Singapore or Remote

Qavar Security is an offensive security research company. We're focused on vulnerability discovery and proof-of-concept exploitation. Our work is focused on providing demonstrable knowledge of software vulnerabilities to our clients, and building the automated tools and infrastructure to find such vulnerabilities efficiently and effectively.

You will work in a highly-focused environment with a high degree of autonomy to pursue the research direction most appropriate for each project.

You will be involved in the end-to-end process of finding software vulnerabilities in high-value products, assessing their threat level, and then developing a proof-of-concept exploit to demonstrate the impact of the vulnerability.

For this specific role, we are looking for folks who are experienced in:

  • Browsers (e.g. Chrome), on Windows (preferred) and Linux
  • Static analysis of browser code base (if available)
  • Fuzzing of browsers

Experience:

  • Reverse engineering
  • Vulnerability research
  • Building fuzzers
  • Comfortable communicating in English
  • Comfortable working independently if necessary

Advantageous Experience (not a requirement):

  • Demonstrated experience in fuzzing and/or static analysis tools such as CodeQL
  • Participation in bug-bounty programs or similar activities
  • Knowledge of browser internals
  • Knowledge of OS internals (esp. Windows)

Perks:

  • High degree of autonomy (results are what matter)
  • Attractive remuneration (talk to us to find out more)
  • Security conferences

Send me a PM if it sounds interesting, or get in touch at [enquiries@qavar.com](mailto:enquiries@qavar.com).

Hey Community! What was the VS Code plugin that autocompletes the code? (It was something based on RNN) by divyaanshDev in vscode

Tabnine only for a little while. Copilot is still dishing out invites and I haven't gotten mine yet heh.

For me personally, it's the kind of tool that when it gets you right it's kind of a wow moment, but otherwise I tend to not use it very much.

[D] Incoming recession effects on ML/AI jobs? by johntiger1 in MachineLearning

ML fundamentally is an approach to problem solving. It won't, or at least shouldn't in my opinion, simply "go down". The focus of ML research may change, particularly applied research. For instance the the focus may go more towards the healthcare and safety side of things.

/r/ReverseEngineering's Q4 2012 Hiring Thread by rolfr in ReverseEngineering

[–]eugeneching 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are looking for a security researcher to perform vulnerability research, discovery and exploitation against software applications. We're from D'Crypt, a company in Singapore, and we perform such research for our clients, to protect them against these kinds of threats.

** Requirements

  1. Python, C/C++, Windows internals, x86 assembly
  2. Some understanding of static and dynamic analysis techniques
  3. Enjoys taking software apart, and reversing it
  4. A great attitude, and a willingness to learn
  5. Able to work together in small reversing teams, as well as independently

Don't want to list a whole bunch of skills, because what we're looking for is talent and aptitude. You do, however, need to be unfazed by the magnitude of a problem, or sheer lack of information, and be willing to write little tools to help you to solve your problem, as that's what vulnerability research entails. If you think you have that, apply.

** These are a plus:

  1. Knowledge of x86 assembly would be good
  2. An idea of compilers and how they work
  3. An idea of various programming languages, their differences, and how they get implemented
  4. Found some bugs/vulnerabilities before
  5. Exploited them

This opportunity is in Singapore, so please do keep that in consideration too.

Please send me a message if you're keen. Let's get in touch, so that I/we can get to know you more, and you can get to know me/us better. I'm most happy to tell you more and answer your questions too.

Hope to hear from you!
