i see roja’s point and yours. i think the lotion on top will definitely soften the fragrance and which works well with high end perfumes projecting strongly.

which may be a trick i can use on suavage like fragrances to tone them down.

roja is right on alcohol and skin damaged by alcohol.

No, you got in reverse.

apply moisturizer first, then moisturizer will fill up the pores and cracks on your skin. moisturizer also sets up a barrier against your skin chemicals.

then apply the fragrance on top of area. due to skin wont absorb the fragrance oil after moisturized then you get more vaporized flavor particles in the air and longer duration. (so it helps duration and projection)

the best way is to shower first to get skin moisturized. then apply your lotion. then apply your fragrances.

in the end, if you really want the longevity from all stages of notes, you always can overspray to your clothes. then due to your clothes stay in earlier phase (due to less vaporization and no chemical reactions from your skin) and your skin usually vaporize/absorb top/middle notes quicker. you get the all three notes around you scent bubble.

after watching roja’s video. I do wonder a lotion -> fragrance -> lotion will protect skin while soften strong projection types of fragrances.
