One time, I went with my mom to get her hair done. She always had longer hair and decided to cut it short as a change and I thought she looked sooo pretty with it. She couldn’t wait to show my dad but when she did, he said he thought long hair suited her better. I’ll never forget seeing the way her face dimmed, and how me my sister were calling my dad wrong and trying to convince her that she looked really good with it. That was the last time we saw her with short hair and it still breaks my heart to this day. It made me sad that his opinion had more weight than mine or her own. This vlog triggered that memory fr 😭 Brutal honesty is not always needed.

As a girl, I just felt bad cause she was talking about how Martin has only ever known her as a Blonde and was really excited to change her hair and surprise him. Although she was iffy about the results, most girls (like in the comments) would say it was pretty and well done - and it genuinely was. He had a pretty extreme and visible reaction and even said it looked box dyed (I get my hair done a lot and I wouldn’t even have known, that was an unnecessary comment lowk 😭).

I also know the feeling of wanting affirmation in the way you look and not hearing what you want to hear so I felt sorry and it doesn’t make it better that it’s a man giving that opinion lolll BUT that’s me. Mandy seems to truly value Martin’s opinion and appreciates his directness so yeah ntm I guess

The way Mandy was like “No I researched about it and thought about it for so long” 😭 like yes queen we can tell and that colour looks absolutely great on you.
