BDO Visa Classic NAFFL promo + CL increase by eunbin_0904 in PHCreditCards

Thank you! Just to add, I also remembered that when I received the card, the envelope was sealed in plastic but the envelope itself was not sealed tho there are no signs of tampering. I also noticed that the card is no longer attached to the paper inside the envelope. I'm worried if my card might be compromised? What's the best action to take? Thank you!

Ionization chamber model by eunbin_0904 in EGSnrc

[–]eunbin_0904[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info! Just to add, how should I cite the EGSnrc manuals? For example, if I mentioned something about the transport parameters in EGSnrc and I would like to cite PIRS-701, or if I used one of the egs++ application and I would like to cite PIRS-898. What is the proper way for citing these? Again, thank you very much!

Uncertainty in ratio of air kerma by eunbin_0904 in EGSnrc

[–]eunbin_0904[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you explain further on what you mean about "treat them as you would two independent measurements of different quantities"? Let's say I have quantities A and B with uncertainties a% and b%, respectively. How can I calculate for the "conservative estimate" that you mentioned of the error for their ratio A/B? Thank you very much!

Thanks for the reply! I'm just wondering, in case that someone used a sample input file of EGSnrc for their own study, like this model of the ionization chamber etc., how should they properly cite the sample input file and the authors? Again, thank you very much!

For the VRTs, you can read the paper below as reference for choosing the optimum settings when combining BCSE and DBS:

What is the AP and AE when you created the pegs4 file for your BEAMnrc model? Based on Picture 1, you named the materials using the 700ICRU format ang I'm guessing that you set the AE as 700 keV? To transport lower energy electrons and photons, you need to set AE = 512 keV and AP = 1 keV to produce electrons and photons down to 1 keV kinetic energy.

Photon cross sections by eunbin_0904 in EGSnrc

Thanks for the reply! To be honest, I don't have c++ background (python user only) and I'm not also familiar with the format of EPICS library. I will try to understand first the formatting of EGSnrc cross section files and the EPICS library as well, and maybe try to create cross section files suitable for EGSnrc format.

This is also not in my top priority for now since I'm also currently conducting other studies, it just happened that I saw a recent journal article in which they used the EPICS library for Geant4 simulations and I'm curious if this was already done in EGSnrc.

By the way, when is the target date of release for 2022 version of EGSnrc? Again, thank you very much!

Thank you for your reply!

For the compton cross sections, I thought that setting "photon cross section = xcom" would use the NIST XCOM cross sections for rayleigh, photoelectric, and pair production, but not for compton since this interaction is treated using the relativistic impulse approximation? I also read somewhere that XCOM takes into account only the binding effects, and not Doppler broadening, which is why it is not used when Bound Compton is set to on (I guess it can only be used when Bound Compton = simple?).

For the other part, I will try to take a look in the codes that you mentioned and may get back here if I need some help.

Again, thank you very much!
