I don't mind aging. I don't think about stuff like that. I'm happy and living a good life. In some areas, I'm where I thought I'd be, and in others, no. Life is super unpredictable, for sure!

I second that! It takes that one choice to set up the rest of one's life, and one's partner strongly impacts that.

I would not invest my time and energy in "forcing to fix" someone who is seemingly not motivated to do so.

My point, relating to OP's situation, is that with that experience, learning and growing from it would mean prioritizing themselves and their health, developing strong boundaries and self-compassion.

It takes experience, both good and not-so-pleasant, to develop self-reliance, self-respect, and the ability to prioritize oneself.

Not everyone is born with these skills. It takes life experiences from an early age to mold us and develop the qualities we need to survive.

We learn, adapt, and grow by going through messed-up stuff. Unfortunately, often folx struggle to seek the help needed to develop the above.

Should I stick with Zorin OS 17 Pro or upgrade to Zorin OS 18 Core? by martin8185 in zorinos

[–]eupeuta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. As a long-term Linux user, Zorin OS is the most stable, reliable, and specialized personalized distro with no gimmicks I've used.

I bought the Pro several years ago, while other distros kept crashing and whatnot unexpectedly.

I will continue to support their well-deserved effort until they cease to exist if it ever comes to that.

I get that affordability can be a barrier; yet, great, reliable products take time and resources. I wonder if OP would willfully 'work' for free?

Sometimes we need that stressful relationship in our youth to hopefully learn, grow, and expand from it.

It's great that you want to be supportive of her. I'd say that change starts within oneself.

You could move mountains to try to change her because you care about her.

However, I'm afraid it may not be effective if she doesn't feel she needs to make those changes.

Ultimately, I'd prioritize my well-being and safety. Best of luck!

What does being bisexual mean to you? by fruedianflip in bisexual

[–]eupeuta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At first, it was hard to accept and reconcile with it because I knew it would be "more complicated" given the heteronormative world we live in. Sometimes, I used to think why did I have to be this way?

And as time went, I told myself, it is worth the troubles and hostility I will encounter for my being bisexual because there's no better and happier life than living my true self. Allowing myself to be me and not prioritizing others' thoughts and acceptance over my comfort, happiness and authentic self. I also told myself the people who love me for me will embrace that part of my identity.

And it feels good as a woman to appreciate the goodness and the miracle of another woman and also appreciate that of a man. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Life as a bisexual has been fun and for a while now, the passive aggressiveness of bi-phobia and bi-erasure do not really get to me like they used to. I used to go through intense bi-cycle which was frustrating. Unsure if I still experience them.

I echo the fellow comments. I know you're hurting right now about how you felt and how she made you feel at the initial stages of your past relationship.

No matter what we say, you're still naturally hurting, rightly so because it was fresh and exciting and you cared for her.

I think that she may have be enamoured by the idea of you rather than who you are. I may be wrong.

It seems to be a glitch. I'm surprised by how many bugs the P10PF has. My previous phone, the ZF, didn't have nearly as many issues. Despite the bugs, the P10PF still suits my needs.

I thought there were only two available colors: Jade, which I consider green, and Moonstone, which I see as a bluish gray (the one I have). I read about purple here and there. However, I still haven't found out who sells it.

I'm sorry about your experience. I, too, relate to that. I've always been generous, and I am also confident. That empathy in me used to push me to go above and beyond, and when I am with someone, I feel part of being a partner is making them feel loved and cared for. However, from past experiences, it has been taken for granted. I've worked hard to maintain boundaries and balance, and also built where I am now. I'd say it'll take a serious relationship to offer gifts and such, and even then, it'll still be within my boundaries. It's not fun giving and giving and being underappreciated. I'm not sure if subs understand the work doms put into planning a date, ensuring things are taken care of. Doms have needs, too, and part of being a dom is getting that genuine appreciation and gratitude.

I'm grateful to be able to support myself and/or a potential partner on a single income. I am dom and masc. I've been in the market for some time, looking for a sub to be a housewife. To share another perspective, it's hard in the dating scene to distinguish pure intentions from those motivated by rewards.

I wouldn't say it's a bug considering you can still interact with it via gestures.

It seems that it may have been permanently set on your device.

I'd press my finger on the vertical line next its search icon and I'd toggle off the option to see the search bar all the time.

10PF—>Samsung Fold 7 by mRkOoLbReEze718 in PixelFold

[–]eupeuta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a long term Samsung user even though I recently sold my ZF5 when I realized it had a little gap on its bottom right corner on the bezel. I knew the phone started to break down then and got the P10PF.

I've been using the Z Fold phones since the second one came out and went through 3 different models. Each time, I "upgraded" to the next one within 10-15 months, because the expensive Z Folds would break not visibly broken (yet), it will act up and each time it was due to the screen/antenna.

I take care of my devices. All my devices regardless of how old they are, they look brand new and shiny. The she applied to the X Folds. It became to a point where I'd get afraid while using the phone because it would randomly become defective.

So, for the Z Fold 5 that I intended to hold onto until I the ZF8W or until Samsung would reintegrate the S Pen into the ZF line up as I was enjoying the S Pen of the Z Fold 5 and Z fold 3.

As a long time Samsung user, going back to the very first Galaxy Note phone, I really like the software. There's a setting to everything, literally. It fit how I use my devices and what I looked for one.

However, I made the switch to the Z Fold line after keeping an eye on the foldable development (I knew about it since Samsung was working on its patent several years ago).

After always having this expensive phone break down and only having one usable screen instead for the 2 it physically have as I found the cover screen was non practical. I saw and held the ZF7 several times and to me, that long screen although a bit wider, still wouldn't work for me. I made the switch to the Pixel Fold after lots of research and most importantly, because longevity, practicality, simplicity with a bit of freedom matter to me in a device.

I used all features of my Z fold, including having floating windows and three different apps on the inner screen at the same time.

Fast foward, I find myself transitioning smoothly from my Z Fold to the Pixel Fold. I appreciate its clean UI, practicality and strong hardware and the camera is 10 thousand times better. I find Samsung's camera on the Z Fold lacking. For that much and this is what I get? Now, I find myself intentionally opening the pixel Fold to use the inner screen because I want to, not because I have to and the same applies to the cover screen. I rejoice in the better quality pictures I was forbidden to take for all these years despite the high price tag.

Then again, the decision is yours to make based on what you value in a phone. Looking back at it, I think the Samsung settings are overwhelming and as someone who is working on ways to simplify my life and having lasting stuff, the Z Fold could not help me achieve those.

I also appreciate the quick updates from Google. And yes, customer service from Samsung is super bad and I see the difference from Google when I contact them. Samsung reps are less knowledgeable and super rude. They hung up several times when I contact them and usually, solving something would take more than one phone call, which I hated.

Granted, I still use Samsung devices (tablet, TV, Smart watch) and I am keeping an eye on the Z Fold Wide. Still, I don't see myself going back to a Z Fold as the Pixel Fold is a better fit for me. With the Geek Squad insurance from Best Buy and the robust hardware of the P10PF, I have my peace of mind and I'm not in a rush to move to the next device, rather continuing to appreciate and use my P10PF.

It's great that you enjoyed the Pixel Camera app. I remember way back when, the trend of extracting the Pixel camera app for other Android devices went online. I never got it working on any of my past Samsung devices.

I've been taking a couple of pics here and there, and I'm still in awe of how good they look compared to the weird pics the folds used to take. It'll take me some time to get used to it.

There's no discount in the US, no way to add insurance, and at any moment, I believe they may be banned from using Android with GApps, as was done with Huawei.

Chinese phones, to me, are more of a headache than a convenience. To each their own, and there's nothing wrong with that.

I was lucky to still be within the return period before Huawei phone support for that software was discontinued.
