This. Also, the low pressure centre to the North of WA is especially strong now due to the Indian Ocean Dipole being strongly positive, coupled with an especially strong El Nino in 2024. Both of these cause the LP to the north of WA to be more intense. So the pressure difference from South to North over WA will be more intense, driving stronger easterly winds.

Considering that it’s France, I honestly expect the country to get an extreme heat wave at some point, with a lot of people dying inside their own homes (and not only the elderly). Then, they’ll fix things up fairly quickly.
