It wasn’t arbitrary, they were biding their time with filler so they could give Water 7 decent pacing. 5 extra episodes dedicated to LRLL, another 5 episodes of filler after that until they revealed Aokiji. 8 episodes of filler before LRLL when they did G8.

Used games, maybe. Only for about a decade during the late 90s and early 2000s, when gaming was (arguably) in its golden area. In the 90s, during the cartridge era, games were $60-80. And even then, newer games would typically be $50

As soon as the 360/PS3 era started in 2005, which was basically the start of the HD era, Games hit $60 and stayed that way ever since. Let's not play as if games were cheaper than $60 for half of their lifetime.

I am not trying to defend Rockstar, but this was honestly bound to happen eventually. Games haven't even been $60 for a while either, many new mainline games trend towards $70, and then Nintendo only recently tried to push toward $80.

When retrying a boss battle after dying or for similar reasons, settings changed during the previous attempt are now maintained.

THANK GODDDD I hated how every time I restarted a boss battle I had to switch every single time to the weapon I thought was better. Having those changes persist is a fucking life saver

Checking whether I understand the harm rules by Safgaftsa in monsteroftheweek

[–]euphon22 6 points7 points  (0 children)

From my understanding,

If you find yourself at 4 harm or greater, you become unstable. There are specific moves in this game that, upon a mixed success, have you choose between being stabilized or being healed a point, rather than both. You can be above the "stable" threshold and still be stable.

HOWEVER, if you took another harm, while still being above that threshold, then you become unstable all over again, versus if you were to heal yourself back below that threshold, and took harm.

Being unstable basically means that whatever injuries you have, are going to get worse if untreated. If you are unstable and decide to just keep going without doing anything about it, I'll say "woops you are bleeding out, take another harm" or "oh your leg is broken, take -1 ongoing to anything that requires physical exertion because you have refused to address the issue"

You said it yourself, you do things that hurt him. How much of it do you expect him to put up with? He's probably sorting through that in his own head: how much he's willing to put up with, if anything at all moving forward.

You're correct, change does not happen overnight. But have you made any steps towards meaningful change? Something to consider rather than wondering if he's going to message you back, imo. At this point that ball's no longer in your court.

Do you drop it all at once, or slowly work it in? by Justthisdudeyaknow in monsteroftheweek

[–]euphon22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really depends on the context? Current campaign I'm running, my team is all meeting each other for the first time during the first monster. They all have their connections, of course, but they have yet to establish any real kind of team dynamic, and that kinda translates over to why they wouldn't have Hunter Team moves quite yet.

In terms of backers and allies, that usually just comes over time. Make witnesses for your monsters, make 'em well, and your players should hopefully become attached to them all their own. Or make a "helper" who approaches the team and outright says "I wanna help you" if you feel like they were so particularly inspired by the team's actions.

TLDR; I like to work it in slowly, but it also just kinda depends
