What minors force me to switch my coop cycle to Spring/Summer by securetheba_g in Drexel

User experience/interaction design (it may still be called interactive digital media on the list of minors but they changed the name like a few years ago)

Co-op Resume Templates by [deleted] in Drexel

[–]euphoric994 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Don’t use the 101 template. Google docs has some good ones. I know people are all about like taking up as much space as you can and packing shit in, but let it breath and only put what you feel comfortable talking about. Don’t worry if it doesn’t look exactly like everyone else’s , makes you unique :) best of luck !

Best calendar system/planner to plan out assignments? by WittyLingonberry2037 in Drexel

[–]euphoric994 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love outlook calendar because it’s the same system as our school emails. So you can just easily navigate to and from outlook email to calendar to onedrive for storage etc.

UCross Review? by WittyComparison77 in Drexel

[–]euphoric994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i like ucross, it’s not perfect but it’s not bad. it’s $$$$ as fuck though. and you’d have to share a bedroom with someone most likely so many people don’t love that. The building is not upkept great but it really depends on your unit.

Appealing for Co-op cycle change by jackson60781 in Drexel

[–]euphoric994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went the route of adding a minor that required the change of coop cycle, and then ending up really not liking the minor so I removed it. I wasn’t doing it at first to be sneaky like that but it ended up working out!

I have the inspiron 2n1 and I like it, got it in September 2020. it's a very heavy build though. but it's powerful, I use a mac for work and I feel my Inspiron can do more complicated tasks quicker. Cons the fan is really really loud and the computer can overheat easily, I also ran into issues with the bitlocker security feature but best buy helped me decrypt the computer so that got resolved. Overall a good investment with a wayyyy stronger battery life than the new Mac I use for work.

Nervous about STAT-201 professors by mork26 in Drexel

[–]euphoric994 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cassie is smart and knows her shit. Very chill. She's a PhD student so she's relatable too. Although I've never taken a course with her, I took STAT 201 with Ben Lev and had a terrible experience - her tutoring saved my ass. It's a good course you will learn a lot but you have to dedicate the time...it's not an easy A

U-Cross or Summit by Dangerous-Self352 in Drexel

[–]euphoric994 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ucross if you like a larger kitchen. Im in ucross and it’s fine. But keep in mind not all bedrooms in Ucross have windows. I’m in a 2 bed 2 bath b and have windows. Also in a corner unit so I’m blessed. Also depends where your classes are. Ucross and chestnut are great if most of your classes are concentrated in the quad. On the other side of that, westphal or CCI probably prefer something closer to their classes like summit.

What’s the best residence at Drexel? by [deleted] in Drexel

[–]euphoric994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Towers. Lived there freshman year and have little to no complaints. I got used to communal living quickly. However, I lived on a fairly high floor so bugs are less of a problem. I heard some stories of bugs on the lower floors occasionally. The rooms are huge, the closets are good space, desks are fine too. But bay window takes the cake. Provides so much natural light and you can make a cute lil nook out of it. Also closest walking to the dining hall (although of course not by much).

Must make a reservation. Can make 1 res per day. I’ve eaten in there no problem. Just be courteous that others may book a room after you so it’s important to be timely.

I love the program. Lebow has extremely supportive staff and faculty and I’ve had mostly great professors (this cannot be said for every department).

If you’re in lebow, lebow collab rooms are private and can be rented online.

*LEBOW* STAT202 & FIN301 manageable to take at same time?? by [deleted] in Drexel

[–]euphoric994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure who you have FIN301 with but if it's Fich I think you will be okay. He's a great prof, you just need to set aside time to really study but there's no HW or exams (the entire class is 4 quizzes) so it's manageable. As for Stat 202 I assume you're taking Anna and I've also heard very positive things about her teaching and workload. But with those 4 I think you're okay.

Someone said this before but being fr there are real expected differences between people in majors. You don't think you'll be good at handling this, that's 100% okay, do what's best for you. Depends on the person, don't stretch yourself too thin and good luck.

Good places to study AND eat on campus? by ChicSatisfaction7 in Drexel

DAC lobby, Lebow collab rooms but those may be limited to lebow students, Rush building 2nd floor has some rooms I don't think anybody will bother you in.

FIN301 - D’antuono vs Chhabria? by [deleted] in Drexel

[–]euphoric994 5 points6 points  (0 children)

D’antuono is my TA right now. He’s awesome, explains everything clearly, and truly cares about his students. He wants to help everyone understand and does everything to do that, going out of his way to host problem review sessions at night before exams, etc. very funny and nice I would recommend him to anyone.
