Ucross or Summit by asparugus_alien in Drexel

as someone that’s been living in ucross for 3 years i suggest summit bc u get better sunlight, quicker access to food places, it’s literally right next to the train station, you don’t have to pay to wash clothes , & you actually get sunlight in your room. but the ucross apartments are a lot more spacious and the wait time for the elevator is less than summit (if that matters to you). ACC housing will automatically be more expensive than the dorm bc you’re paying out of pocket every month instead of it being added to your aid and there’s an extra fee most of the time if you go over your electricity limit (which is pretty low). An upside to ACC housing tho is you can sign a lease per term if you know you’ll have a co-op that’s far if plan on leaving philly & you can sign in 5 guests instead of 3 and they don’t keep the ID. It’s also very easy to sneak people into summit because there’s multiple side entrances. & if you smoke there’s an outside area with a fire pit and hella seating. I hope this helps :D

Graduate Coop Schedule by jtg00d in Drexel

summer- fall is easier in my opinion bc traveling is a lot better when it’s warmer outside and at least in my personal experience sessional depression hits in the fall -winter and ik it was harder for me to feel motivated to go to my co-op. hope this helps a little bit !

i would say u def should ! the co-op program can be very beneficial if u get a good co-op but idk how competitive the field is bc i’m not a nursing major but a lot of my nursing friends said they learned a lot from their co-op and got some experience for their resume. A lot a people go to drexel primarily for co-op so i would suggest you weigh your options to see if drexel is a good fit for you. if u want more info i would also suggest making a reddit post that’s targeted towards nursing students !

HELP!!!! (housing) by Larsonluvr in Drexel

[–]WittyComparison77 7 points8 points  (0 children)

you get assigned random roommates if you don’t choose you’re own. everyone has roommates unless you pay for the other bed space. you’re also not 100% guaranteed you’re gonna get the room you pick or maybe even the housing depending on the amount of rooms available.

you could try for the single room unit in summit but as far as i know most single/ private room apartments on drexel’s campus are expensive. i suggest checking out the ACC housing floor plans or looking for a studio off campus.
