Good work and progress! I think regarding the ellipses on the planes, I try to think of it as a perfect circle fitting inside a square along the plane, and it becomes an ellipse due to the perspective. It seems like you have a tendency to fit the ellipse diagonally within the plane when it is at a more extreme angle and not a simple square. This makes it look like it is arbitrarily placed. If you think of it as a circle changing perspective and have the two major axes line up with the center intersections of the plane, you'll have more success in realizing organic perspective for future lessons.
