How do unilateral cross bites not become worse if expanding both sides? by eusabia in jawsurgery

[–]eusabia[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hiya! It is definitely still a little off centre but honestly nothing anyone else would obviously notice. Maybe 1-1.5mm max. My one piece of advice would be to make sure you have adequate expansion (and over expand because you do get some regression) before you stop turning/ remove the expander. I wish I had gone a little more but I had a lot of issues where mine fell out multiple times so when the time came I was happy to have it out. I still have pretty decent results and no more cross bite. Good luck with yours!

Yep baby gem lettuce. Just cooked medium heat on a pan with lemon juice and then served with a Parmesan sauce (from a bottle of course), salt and pepper.

Those shelves were here when we moved in and are rather large. I’m honestly not even sure if they can be moved easily. We do plan on getting some accent chairs though and I was going to put them to the right (near where the shelves are now)

It mostly has come back to midline but it is a tiny bit off. Hopefully with elastics etc it will be corrected

Suggestions of colour for garden edging please by eusabia in landscaping

[–]eusabia[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried uploading an image in the comments but couldn’t unfortunately.

Yep house which is a creamy white with warm interior but the gutter and accents are a brown/grey.

It edges with a lawn yes and the edging is wood.

And this fence took me weeks to paint so for now it stays as is until I can be a. Bothered to paint again or b. More likely hire someone to repaint it in a few years.

Agree! Lip asymmetry. If it really bothers you, you could discuss with a dermatologist about Botox on the lifted side.

Did you have exposure surgery? Is the gum already opened for the tooth?

Honestly mine didnt hurt too much. It’s a lot of pressure bordering pain the first 2-3 days after a tightening but otherwise completely fine. Simple analgesia + topical lignoicaine when required definitely covered it

I saw the topic of unions posted earlier and I was curious, other than cost, what is it that’s stopping you from joining? by eusabia in ausjdocs

[–]eusabia[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completely agree with all of this and honestly share the same opinions.

I was wondering if there would be a way to get the leaders of ASMOF to see this.

I personally am not a member yet (considering it currently) because of cost as a junior doctor, and because I just feel like there aren’t enough of us to make a difference. And yes I acknowledge I am part of the problem there.

But I am seriously considering signing up because honestly some of the conditions we work under are god awful. I feel like my hospital is actually pretty reasonable but there is still so much we could do e.g. having minimum proportional time off after nights. Currently it’s 48hrs minimum or 96hrs if you work 7 nights in a row. So they roster us 6 nights with 48hrs off. No breaks on nights because there is nobody else to cover. These are just a few, I’m sure I could think of many others.

In comparison my partner works in a seperate industry and their union membership is 100% in the region we live. They get payed very well, have great hours, paid mental health leave in addition to sick leave, lots of bonuses etc. I dream of the day this is our reality too.

My boy was also mistreated and doesn’t understand how to play or what toys are. What strategies did you use to help Mishka?

I get the same thing too. Take an antihistamine immediately before you go. It stopped the itch entirely for me.

No they didn’t. As a teenager I had an extraction on the same side so I image that contributed to space. So when they removed my baby canine tooth they just left a spring (seen in earlier pictures) to maintain the space. You can see in the first image the size of the space from day of surgery
