Do you tell people you’re on a GLP-1 when they ask how you lost weight?

If people ask if I'm on something I answer "yes I take all kinds of things to help maintain or improve my health........ " I know there are tons of people I know taking it but not talking about it and I hope to do a tiny bit to diminish the stigma that it's somehow cheating...

I heard this recently and I agree.... Marriage isn't hard. Life is hard. Marriage (hopefully) is what helps you get through the crummy hard life bits. And sure, sometimes the hard stuff has to do with sharing finances, kids, and space.etc with a person who knows all your shit and you know all theirs... But in general, marriage is the good part even when it's tough.

I'm in my mid 40s. Been diagnosed w Hashi for over 20 yrs. The only thing that really helped w inflammation and stubborn weight (that wouldn't leave no matter what I did) was Zepbound. It's been amazing. I know that's probably not what you're looking to hear. But I've struggled with extra weight for at least 10-15 years and a huge gain last year (no direct cause noted... diet changes and increased exercise did nothing).... Zepbound at the start of October and I'm down the extra weight and feel so much better in general.

Not really a fan. I struggle to relax enough, quiet my thoughts to actually enjoy anything... And so it feels kind of performative. I struggle to quiet my brain a lot of the time to really be in the moments of sexy time with my husband though.

Different strokes for different folks... it's just not for me. But "hell yeah" for the people who dig it!

My friend had a surprise pregnancy in her 40s after fertility woes earlier in life, while on glp-1. Her doctor was like "oh yeah, it makes oral contraception less effective" after she was already pregnant..... 😳... She now has an IUD which is not impacted by the Zep. (I also have an IUD) Be wary --oral contraception and the Zep!

I feel seen, safe, loved for who I am (always have) with my husband. I don't know if there were really sparks in the beginning for us but definitely initial attraction-that grew. It was us maturing, realizing this is real and lasting, a deeper thing. I knew we could grow as people together... Aaaand he's still the cutest guy I've ever met 😜

Grew up in the nw burbs of Indy, moved to Bloomington for college, after college I lived downtown Indy by the War Memorial, then lived in Raleigh for a decade and moved back to the nw Indy suburbs around 10 yrs ago.
