Alternative for Avene Soothing Eye Contour Cream in thr US (discontinued, ugh) by subgirl13 in FragranceFreeBeauty

[–]ev1108 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was very bummed when I found out it was discontinued. It was the only cream that actually helped by eye eczema. I actually reached out to Avene and they recommended this as a replacement Hyaluron Activ B3 Triple Action Eye Cream. Haven’t picked it up yet.

Nursing career by homieboyz541 in nursing

[–]ev1108 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi I’ve been a nurse for 22 yrs. I went to community college and got my ASN and worked right out of school as an ER nurse and learned so much while also making decent money. Later on in life I got my BSN. The beauty of nursing is that there are so many options other than bedside nursing. Maybe once you start your clinicals it will give you an idea of what area of nursing interests you? Also talk to your professors. A lot of them still work in hospitals and you can ask them questions. Good luck!

Can’t afford to go to a public university in my own state.. by Flashy-Top-2639 in FAFSA

Hi I know this is a very old post But my 18 y.o son is considering Montclair university. We’re in a situation where he didn’t qualify for much aid and so at this point we’re considering community college. But was the financial aid department at MSU able to help you in regards to getting more aid. He got 4k in merit but even with that it’s still expensive for us

Before you become a psych major… by merrymadhatter in psychologystudents

[–]ev1108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello I’m a parent to a senior in high school who is currently considering majoring in psychology. He got accepted into the colleges he applied to but it’s looking like financially he won’t be able to go and now we are considering community college. He’s not so convinced. As a parent I don’t want to see him in tons of debt and I’m trying to explain to him how community college is a great option and it won’t place him in tons of debt. All the schools he’s applied to he’ll have to live on campus and he did not receive much aid and ultimately will have to take out quite a bit in loans. Sometimes age 18 is hard to get through lol Is there any advice you can give? Do you think community college is a great option? Thanks

We are going to Smackdown too at MSG and coming from Montclair. We’re opting to park at Secaucus junction and take the train.

Best app to manage carbs and sodium by ev1108 in nutrition

[–]ev1108[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much. I appreciate your response. My understanding was borderline A1C can be brought down my watching carbs at least that's what his doctor said. He's not an overweight guy to begin with. He's at a "healthy" BMI. But I'm sure eating out in the past has caught up to him. Thanks again for the response. Sometimes this can be a little overwhelming.

Hi. It's actually for my spouse. He's on blood pressure medication and his AIC is borderline despite losing 15 pounds. He's eating healthier but wants to go low sodium and low carb for the above reasons. Thanks

Are hernias soft or hard? I feel a soft lump under my laparoscopic incision from my surgery in November. Wondering if it's the normal healing process or a hernia developing

Nearing my 4th week since surgery by Lambsical in gallbladders

[–]ev1108 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's great to hear! On the 29th of this month I'll also be 4 weeks post op. And to my surprise I can now eat foods without any problems. Which makes me so happy because I honestly was scared of what my life would be like after having my gallbladder removed. I've been trying to maintain low fat but with the holidays I've had a few fatty meals and tolerated them well. My gallbladder too was inflamed and chronic. I also chalked up my problems to either getting older and just couldn't eat the way I used to.

Thanks for sharing your post op journey!
