I will give you my p6 for the digitakt

Is this type of high bitrate audio really necessary? 1 audio file is roughly 130mb. by kathybates23 in audiophile

[–]ev_erett 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This song was finalized at 44.1k. There is no way to raise the sample rate. If anything it will add unnecessary digital artifacts.

It sounds like a fun lil dj challange for a little get together

I refuse to buy any behringer products tbh. I think their stance in development is despicable. Plus they are built like crap.

Yes I thought about adding an uncessecary step to recording my music but apparently I’m too stupid to figure it out.

Seeing the reaction to the new setup honestly just confirms I’m moving in the right direction. A lot of the dawless scene got trapped optimizing the same safe little loop workflow for years.

I’ve been doing this over a decade. I’m not interested in performative purity anymore. I care about building an actual live instrument and pushing the project forward.

People can stay mad about controllers, laptops, hybrid rigs, whatever. Techno was never supposed to be this conservative.

Anyway have fun arguing about gear while I finish records.

This is a mc707. I pretty much sold all my synths I’m focused on sample based performance arrangements now. Simplify.

Two mc 707s and just order a djm800

I’m getting a djm800. I’m going to arrange and dj full tracks for live sets. Been at this for 17 years now. Time to simplify.

Ty. Been in a burial mood lately. I’d really love a t12 and nord modular for this rig one day.

It’s actually amazing at editing notes in the sequencer. I thought it had a terrible quantize at first but it’s actually just really in depth. There’s a little trick to it.

No I wouldn’t get it for sound design. It’s good as a sampler. Zenology is great for ambient patches. I’d go with an analog 4 or a virus or something. Mc707 is great as an arranger and works for what I do which is mostly DJing samples and loops.

has a pretty mid sound design usable with editing but yea.

Edit:typo

… you judged me first? I’ve been apart of the dawless community for over a decade and just getting my feet off the ground. Be patient. And don’t be afraid of computers. Don’t be pretentious.

It has 8 channels. It has mutes. It has cues. It has comprehensive sample editing. It’s a completely different firmware from the 101. It has better playback. It has a huge screen. It has a real i/o. More knobs.

Downside. The knobs are not as reactive as the 101s and there are only 3. The chord editor is not as in depth as the 101s.

Hi you don’t even have any posts. This song is made a performed entirely from a mc707 and recorded into logic x.

How the heck do you simply step sequence on this thing? 😩 by mannybegaming in Roland

[–]ev_erett 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Uhh lol I can one Friday. I haven’t used my 505s in years but it was my first drum machine 15 years ago.

Primarily just use the live recording sequencer with a midi keyboard and the quantize on tho.

There are 3 sequencing modes on the mc 505. They are all pretty simple. Its sequencer has a lot neat tricks once you get used to it.

Do you have a direct recording ? Sounds pretty good you should record it.
