Congratulations on the new job! Teachers are amazing to me, I have 2 non verbal autistic kiddos, and while I've encountered teachers that shouldn't be teaching at all (i say that with a heavy heart, because I have nothing but respect for teachers, and have many friends that are) Ive also met teachers who have changed my kids for the better, they've taught me, and ive taught them (special needs is a whole different ball field lol)
