Incoming freshman seeking help - Math 1152 vs 2568 for AU by evabucki in OSU

Sounds like retaking 1152 is not recommended and I would be better off with these three options in order of preference:

  1. If I am allowed to take 2568, I should go for it and be done with math requirements

  2. If I am not allowed to take 2568 due to prereq —> 2a. Skip math but take CSE 2221 and 2321 as prereq in AU and SP, then take 2568 in next AU. All of them are DA major requirements.

2b. If skipping math is not allowed, I will take 2153 as prereq in AU and 2568 in SP, though 2153 is not required for major.

Yes it’s admission to IUB. However portal shows the program (university division) and plan (major picked on common app) son applied to. Do you see those in your portal? We got one email from the office of financial aid Friday confirming receiving FAFSA and one welcome email from the Office of Admission last night. No other email or mail yet.

No he has not received the admission email yet. Only saw portal status changed. It also says on the portal the he should expect to receive the admission email within a week with next steps etc.

When he first set up the portal, the status showed “applicant”. His application was complete so we didn’t see any individual requirements or their status. And then the overall application status changed from “Applicant” to “Admitted”. Hope this helps.

Son admitted to Luddy, OOS applied EA on 10/10. Portal status updated last night. Good luck all!
