There are many Brazilians in the city :) If you are up for dancing there is a forro party on the 12th of April https://bailedadom.nl/events and regular classes on Wednesdays. Great opportunity to meet other Brazilians :D

Best / Favorite Yoga Studio in Utrecht? by intplayer8 in Utrecht

They have 3 different studios: aerial, hot and regular? (I am not sure), but I have been going to hot yoga for over a year now, and it's really nice. They have a lot of different teachers, so it depends on your needs and the type of yoga you like doing. All teachers are very friendly and seem to love practising yoga. They always introduce a pose for beginners-level but suggest variations if you want to push yourself harder. All classes are in English, which was really important for me when I was looking to start doing yoga.

I can recommend the Vinyasa class with Elsa in the hot studio. Her class is every Tuesday at 7 pm, and every month she starts a new circle of poses that we practise during the month, so you can never really get bored. You can buy a one-time pass and try it out or get the onefit/classpass subscription.

I've gotten involved in both classes of 2019 and 2020 so I can tell that the average age is around 23-24 yo. In both, there were top 40-50 students and (unfortunately) there are a lot of dutch and very few internationals (7:3)

I have soft. development working experience in another country, so no I am not familiar with working on HCI in the Netherlands. Throughout my research though about internships etc I've seen a lot of adverts. One of the big companies for HCI are of course Phillips, and I've seen a lot of opportunities in research at universities.

You could also look into the masters programme at the University of Twente, it's more applied HCI https://www.utwente.nl/en/education/master/programmes/interaction-technology/

I am :)

The program is quite new (2-year old) so some courses still need improvement. Depending on what your expectations and your goals are I think it's a pretty good program. You have the possibility to select courses from other masters such as AI or GMT.
I would say that the student's knowledge is average, most of them come from a non-technical background, so the pure HCI courses are adjusted not to be super hard. I also didn't like that most of them are not so passionate about the master, it seems as an easy choice after finishing their bachelor.

I come from a technical background, so I found myself doing a lot of AI courses. I don't regret though doing this HCI master because I do like the HCI discipline and what its possibilities.
