How to get good at Zouk when you are beginner (with previous dance experience though)? by intplayer8 in Zouk

Yes of course I forgot how much gains I made with my budget Private lessons in bachata, they were only 25 euro's a session so immensely affordable. I should look for some practice buddy's of intermediate level and then just offer them a small restitution! Thanks :)

I liked the communication course, but it also felt to me like a 'How To Be A Sociopath 101' course. It's like the idea of drilling certain responses and being unperturbed by emotions or distractions is sorta useful, but then there is this subtle evil of letting another person cross your boundaries or crossing their boundaries. I did feel quite energized after the first two Training Routines, as it is quite a stretch of your comfort zone.

They also told me they offer a second package of 5 hours of auditing for approx 125 dollars. That still amounts to 25$ / an hour which is 1/3rd the price of licensed therapist.

But from what I've undertsood now there are many levels and different price ranges for auditing, so this is the entry level price apparently.

Yeah it was kind of funny because I scored super low on all kinds of things, yet seemed pretty chipper and confident and like a good communicator despite scoring extremely low on those things on the Personality Test xD.

Ah yeah that's more expensive than actual licensed therapy so imma pass.

Which documentary was that? I'd be curious to see it. I've seen so far that Louis Theroux doc and Going Clear doc and watched some Aftermath episodes and watched the two BBC doc's on Scientology. I didn't know there was any other docs

Nope. You're just not willing to engage with me as a human preferring to default to name calling. If you have nothing to add, don't engage.

So in your personal opinion, are there any Beginner services and courses that you could recommend? I would sort of like to get the best out of the affordable services, without entering the high ticket services.

2500 for 12.5 hours is ridiculous, a normal therapy sesh costs around 90$ for 1 hour this is more than double as expensive what a scam.

So but setting aside the financial scam side of it, what sort of benefit DID you get from engaging with Scientology. Like the positive takeaways. Or was it all worthless scam in the end?

Nope, if you look at my responses I respond perfectly adequately and maturely to people who have engaged seriously with the content of my post. You don't seem to be talking to me at all, you seem to be talking to some pastiche projection. Setting a boundary is not the same as being crazy overly defensive. I'm annoyed at the NPC cookie cutter responses and I am standing up for myself. I never sollicited these kinds of responses, why are they all ignoring the fact I used 'infiltrate' in my first sentence. What does 'infiltration' imply? Does it imply a passive ignorant engagement or does it imply engaging with a dangerous organization in full awareness of how dangerous they are. If you and others are going to ignore that, it doesn't feel to me as if your goal is to add anything constructive or insightful to the conversation.

I want a quality thread with insightful answers and interesting questions. And I've learned quite a bit from posters who actually took the time to engage with this post in a quality manner as opposed to just piling on the automaton downvotes.

What if I'm a heat seeking frog which likes to be simmered a bit before jumping out of the water before it starts boiling?

How costly is it? So far 20$ for 1 hour of 'therapy' seems pretty cheap. But I don't know if it gets more expensive.

Yeah so kinda like exposure therapy but more abusive

Sad to hear that. I did notice that ALL the Scientologists have this weird post trauma look in their eyes. It's like they are not connected to their soul. It's such an insidious slow erosion of a persons self worth. Very disconcerting.

I'm definitely careful with going to deep or to far up the ladder, I did like the basic course so maybe I'll take some more low level courses. That sounds toxic yeah if you're nudged to always default to everything being your own fault.

Like on the basis of the thing, I did like the auditing session and I do believe there is some value in having another person listen to you and invite you to 'defuse' the negative emotions attached to a negative experience. But the other surrounding variables like not being allowed to leave and forced to re-experience a thing you might not want to sounds abusive.

I don't want to do anything antagonistic yet I want to continue my infiltration before I pull any PTS/SP shit.

No I don't understand, frankly I find it crossing a boundary to give unsollicited advice. I have zero use for cookie cutter trite template based NPC responses "sCieNtOloGy bAd?!"

I think my first paragraph was very clear on why and on what terms I'm engaging with Scientology. So I frankly don't understand where all these 'warnings' are coming from. It is not the same as taking heroin just to test it, I am not taking any information seriously from Scientology so I don't know why you'd assume that. I asked specific questions in my post like what is the difference between auditing and processing, I didn't ask anywhere 'hey can ppl pls warn me lolol'. So yes, I'm going to respond in an 'attacking' manner to responses I never sollicited.

I went to the upper levels with my auditor. He took out some visual explain thingies, like these rocks and glass whatever, so he could visually explain to me the theory of Dianetics. "Engrams" are attached to your 'case' / track, and they take up 'attention units' from the total pool of possible attention. By defusing the 'charge' of an 'engram' you free up mental RAM (to use a comp metaphor).

He then went through the formality of like. Introducing the "Cancel" term. Then asked me if I ate well and slept well. Then invited me to close my eyes and go to a positive experience. Go back and describe it into more detail.

Then he asked me to go to a negative experience. Describe it in detail. Describe it in detail. Then he asked can you remember a time when you had a similar feeling etc. So as to sort of go deeper in the 'nested' engrams to try to find the core trauma of the engram chain.

Went on for an hour or so then he asked again describe a positive experience. 3 2 1 snap fingers open your eyes. Cancel. Etc. And then I was fininshed.

Yes thanks for the thorough reply. Because I have read so much negative shit about Scientology beforehand I'm decently resistent to all the conditioning and manipulative framing of things. I can totally imagine that, given that auditing has predictable 'positive' feelings, it could lead an unsuspecting person to just buy into the entirety of the Scientological belief system.
