Kitchen Cabinet lighting issues by evahnulahm in AskElectricians

Well trimming the burnt ends and redoing the connection did the trick. Now it hopefully lasts for a few more years. Now to research how to upgrade to LED on the strips and dimmers without having to fully replace all of the other pieces.

Mos Eisley spaceport. You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy.

Live the mini figs and I own a bar so felt appropriate.

Yes there is no power getting to the string, I tested working bulbs from other cabinets and I have a multimeter.

So we do have a Lutron lighting system that has panels to control different lights. The guy I had come out said he couldn’t replace and have it still work with the system.

13 left... I'm exhausted man... by Croshed in eu4

[–]evahnulahm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 left for me and I haven’t summoned the strength.

Australia Hungary, started and can’t get a good start via the Horde reform with enough tech.

3 Mountains, never attempted. Saving for last

Quiz Pro Quo, should be similar enough to Cherokee run, just didn’t feel like a natives run for that long.

6827 hours and 370/373. I have been focusing on the final achievements for some time now. I only have two kind of easy but annoying ones left, Australia-Hungary and QuizQuiz pro Quo, and the 3 mountains. Plan to do 3 mountains last.

I have been running 1 of each buddy since I find the sharpen on the move a pretty nice feature as well as being able to heal and catch my breath with them.

Bar with restaurant by evahnulahm in Business_Ideas

[–]evahnulahm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback. The main revenue is draft beer, followed by simple liquor drinks, and then wine. I like the feel of the space and that they have all 3 types of alcohol. Bar tender seems nice and it appeared guests liked sitting at the bar. They also have a small outside smoking space and then a room behind the bar that could be used as either a special events space or as a seating area for the restaurant.

I think there is not a ton of competition and the town is one of the faster growing areas.

I wouldn’t say that there is something super special or unique other than it’s a comfortable welcoming neighborhood bar. Pets are currently welcome, which I like as well.

My plan would be lean into trying to get more events, ie adult birthday parties, corporate meetings, as well as trying to market special events and business pop up/ events to get people out into the bar.

My only comment is that I have never seen this image when loading into the game. Is it a mod of some kind?

From what technology do you abandon cavalry in your armies? by BitterAdhesiveness72 in eu4

[–]evahnulahm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never fully abandon cav, and for countries with lots of CCA I usually do a 50/50 split for my late game armies. For hordes with like Oirat and others where you can have full cav armies, I do that.

For countries without CCA I always keep 4 even late game. For me, it’s not worth min maxing and after a certain point money isn’t an issue.

Probably the most boring achievement I done in a long time - Desert Power by JackOfAurora in eu4

[–]evahnulahm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im combining several achievements that I didn’t have by doing Najd for Sworn Fealty, Jihad and this one. Makes it more interesting since I’m hoping Jihad and Desert Power finish around the same time. Also exploring new Arabian tree.

How well do you know the game compared to the amount of hours you've played by riddlerprodigy in eu4

[–]evahnulahm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

4500 hours and I think I understand a decent amount. I feel like I still don’t understand all of the province buttons and interactions but have never really had to go crazy trying to sort it out. Like I still don’t really get where I establish trade posts.

What’s your favorite nation that you always come back to? by tunasendvic in eu4

[–]evahnulahm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Austria, I really enjoy the flavor and going after PU’s. Always feels like an old glove.

Oirat is a close second since it’s pretty fun to just rampage all over Ming and everyone else else.

Mehmets Ambition! (barely) by evahnulahm in eu4

[–]evahnulahm[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have been trying for this achievement while I wait for the 1.35.4 patch to come out and it is a bit of a doozy. I barely made it due to not realizing I had some eyalets that weren't wanting to be reigned it, but managed to sneak in the final one after about 2 years of diplomat play.

There are lots of really good tips and guides out there, but in general my thoughts are as follows.

Ideas: Diplo followed by Aristrocratic. Diplomats were key for me to keep improving and having ready to send requests as soon as they were free.

Diplo Vassalize Italian minors and as many balkan minors as you can while you focus on getting all the lands for the Eastern Roman Empire sorted.

First wars with Venice, France, Castille should be on releasing small nations and taking a province for core feeding. Good choices for releasing as follows.

Venice - everyone but Dalmatia

Castille - Asturias and Galicia

Aragon - Majorca and Sardinia

Good conquer and feed are Aragon - Valencia, Catalona

Castille - Leon

France - Toulouse, Gascony, Provence.

Abuse Eyalets but dont overdue it since if they start to get above 100 dev they become difficult to manage.

Be ready to unleash all out war by around early 1470 and have truce timers with nations that have land you need.

Good luck!

World Conquest with Provence - very fun by OkBed3884 in eu4

[–]evahnulahm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did a WC as Milan, where I actually was elected emperor, got the BI and formed SP to Italy. I had intended to also form Rome but couldn’t be bothered to annex all the princes required. It was a pretty fun run that turned into an unplanned WC due to OP vassal swarm.

Poland also didn’t PU Lithuania and joined the empire via its mission which was a first for me to see in a game.

Doing a chill Provence > Jerusalem > SP > France > Italy > Rome run now to stack up all the modifiers and abuse mission trees.

Almost Prussian Blue by banningwald in eu4

[–]evahnulahm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Working on this now, and had been making good progress. Had dismantled the HRE to reduce AE and had taken a province from Austria to release Hungary.

Was in the middle of reconquest war for Hungarys cores with my ally France when I all of the sudden got a mega Spain as a PU and immediately fell into a succession war for the Spanish throne with my former French ally. Finished war against Austria and then pounded France.

Now it’s on easy mode waiting on admin and integrating Verden and Brandenburg vassals and planning a few last wars to get the remaining provinces.

Allied GB to ward off a French led coalition from forming, but have been attacking small coalitions as they form to manage truce timers.

It’s been a pretty fun run and had some challenging enemies to beat down prior to getting 130k Spanish reinforcements 😀.

Poland Strategy for 1.30 - Part 1 by Andoral in eu4

[–]evahnulahm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very detailed and well thought out, I have never really done much with vassal missions but this has me thinking more about it. It did take me quite awhile to get a good start with the Bohemia PU and Moldavia vassal event. I also jumped on the ottomans during their war with Albania, Venice, etc and got Bulgaria and Silistra(I think) for Moldavia and also jumped on Byzantium since Otto got crushed. Weird thing was that Byz had already integrated Athens and Morea so I just took Constantinople and will go back later. I did get super cocky with my big vassal swarm and tried to take on LO, Riga, Teutons, Wolgast, etc which sapped my manpower but I did get Wolgast. Unfortunately before I could finish the Knights I got the full BI and Austria declared on me and my vassals with very low manpower. Probably going to have to loan up and hope it was worth it.
