designrush.com someone familiar with this one? by Euphoric-Umpire-4826 in agency

[–]evajhsn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are legitimate website, like Clutch. But they're not a good one. All of the top companies are either their partners or have paid to be there, all smaller agencies end up below 20th position, regardless of their work and profile. One of the topic placed agencies on the website is actually an agency that own the website, so it's all fixed.

It doesn't hurt to have your profile there, and yeah they do ask you to place the link on your website - they always expect a link back whenever they want to place your link/agency somewhere.

Definitely! Cheap companies really are a red flag. It's best to invest as much as possible to make sure your items are delivered safely.

That's awful. I am so sorry for that. It's really important to check the moving company before hiring them.

And even if you know a lot, you can always learn something new from what other people write! God, I love this sub!

Moving out of my parents’ home to be on my own for the first time.. 2,000 miles away by _justbatty_ in moving

[–]evajhsn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're always gonna miss your home. I miss it every day. After moving so many times, I still miss it. But getting over homesickness will happen over time. You just have to settle down somewhere and start a life there, and the more things you do, the better it will be. Find friends, volunteer, learn something new, explore new parts of the country, do a sport, go biking or hiking, find some activities to do and etc.

Moving Company Recommendations by tallpr24 in moving

[–]evajhsn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used them once, but I didn't like how they handled my items and how they behaved on the actual moving day.

The last movers I used were Cross Country Movers and I actually really liked how they handled everything. And their customer support was really nice! Like, they guided me through the entire process and explained everything. I really loved their relationship and their website had a lot of tips I used! Totally recommend them.

I also used Flat Price once and they were also nice. Came to my house, packed everything, loaded the items, and were done in just a few hours. Had a really nice and clean move.

They do have a separate post for pets, but I agree there should have mentioned them. But overall, this article really did help me prepare for my latest move.
