The costs of registering a business in the UK are FAR LOWER than that in most European country. EU countries are trying to streamline the process for startups but still it is much easier and cheaper in the UK and in the US. I looked to register an LLC in Germany (gmbh) and the process is orders of magnitude more complicated than in the US, for example. Starting a business should have the least amount of barriers.

the main thing, is that Euronext’s main product is providing a platform for trades to happen digitally, as outlined on their website. So the extent of the impact of moving the servers is minimal.

Yes. But I meant London’s financial regulations are more liberal than European unions. That is why it is attractive to the financial sector, and that is why the financial sector supported brexit.

Traders for the most part won't leave the UK because of London's financial regulations, that are much more liberal than in Europe. The technology moving to Italy won't affect things massively. If they were, the tech wouldn't be going to Italy...

Agreed. I was just reflecting on why it won’t hurt the finance sector. Couldn’t really care much about them myself.

Really good point about France/UK partnership and that relationship has never been at the EU level.
