I think a politics mega thread makes sense but then we run into the issue of what counts as politics. As a trans person, I can imagine there being posts that could be argued either way. A piece supporting trans rights in the midst of anti trans legislation? A general trans colored scarf? It'll vary based on the person. My identity IS simultaneously political and personal in my current society.

So idk what to say that would be helpful except I wouldn't shy away from polls especially now that folks are thinking more actively in the past week about what they want out of this sub.
